About the Site

Hey readers, my name is Tom Van Wyhe and I'm the new writer/blogger for Revenge of the Birds, a fan-centric blog that will keep you up to date with the latest Cardinals news, gossip, and banter.

It's especially exciting now because for the first time in a while, there are expectations. And why not? A new coach who the players respect (that's huge), a young quarterback with tons of potential, an offense around him that is among the most talented in the NFL, and a division that's vulnerable: the Seahawks are a question mark, the Rams aren't flashing invincibility on offense, and the 49ers are in the same mediocre-young-team-that's-maturing boat.

The point is, it's going to be a heckuva season. I'm looking forward to it, and you should be too. The Cardinals are a team that can be a force if pulled together. And that's happening right now.

Enjoy the ride. I'll be there with you, the whole season.

A Little About Myself

As I said before, my name is Tom and I'm from Wisconsin. I've been a huge Matt Leinart fan since his days at USC, and, being someone who appreciated the Bill Cowher era in Pittsburgh, really like the idea of Whisenhunt running the show in the desert. I've been blogging for a few years now, first on SportingNews.com (as johnelwayfan) and since I've developed my own NFL site at NFLminute.com.

I look forward to writing for the Cards this season and I look forward to hearing your thoughts in discussions I'll initiate on the site.
