Ask a Cowboy

Hey Cardinal fans. My name is Grizz and I run SB Nation's Cowboys blog, Blogging The Boys. Real original title, huh?

Anyway, your man cgolden suggested that I create a FanPost where you guys could ask me questions about the Dallas Cowboys for this week's game and I will try to give you semi-coherent answers. So here I am.

I'll check back periodically to see the questions.

In the meantime, I'll say that this game should be a good one and might end up as an old-fashioned shootout.

And yes, I will answer questions about one Adam "don't call me Pacman even though I'm still acting like Pacman" Jones and everybody's favorite, Terrell Owens.

Looking forward to the game and to your questions.

- Grizz

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Revenge of the Birds' (ROTB) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of ROTB's editors.

Pacman

Hey Grizz,

Do you think there’s any chance Jones/Phillips will bench Pacman this Sunday for his actions this week?

My opinion:

If the rest of the secondary was healthy, I believe there would be a decent chance that the organization would send a strong message of intoleration and bench him. However, with Newman on the injured list, I think that they are more likely to look the other way and go easy on him.

Both Wade Phillips and Jerry Jones

have said he’ll play on Sunday, so unless Roger Goodell steps in and does something by then, he’ll play. I don’t think the NFL will rule on this until at least next week. If this was a fight with a stranger or something like that, Jerry Jones might have disciplined him, but since it was with his bodyguard, and they both admit it was friendly banter that went a little too far, the incident seems to be a lot less than initially reported.

Thats what I've been hearing too.

Checked out your blog just now, and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. You’ve got some objective Boys fans there, and posters were taking the Cards seriously. Not any of the cliche “They will lose because they’re the Cardinals” type of comments that I was expecting to see. I’ll be at the stadium cheering on the Birds, but here’s to a good game with no injuries.

And sorry about the Pacman question, I noticed that you have enough of that talk right now on your blog.
