I don’t remember if the “real story” was ever stated. I do remember the consensus opinion was McCown and Green didn’t agree on play calls. I vaguely recall something to this effect having happened in Buffalo and against the Kurt Warner-led Giants with Josh changing plays at the line of scrimmage…hell, that soap opera was five seasons ago and most of Dennis Green’s tenure is a blocked out memory except when Coors Light needs a commercial. but on the real I have always liked “McClown”. I liked what he did here with a horrible line and I thought he had some really raw tools to become a solid starter. He still managed to have several 300+ yard games even when he was running for his life. I thought it was bull the way he got benched after it looked like we might be doing something and we never got any explanation. I thought maybe one of you guys had heard something I hadn’t and give me some closure on the subject.
