Latecomer Andrew602 still has the knack for correct picks and is maintaining his impressive separation from the rest of the pack. With five weeks left to pick, who will make the push for the Cardinals-related prize(s) and who will be RotB's Jimmy Johnson?
DON'T FORGET: THANKSGIVING GAMES APLENTY! BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR TEN, DAL, ARI WINNING PREDICTIONS IN BEFORE THE DETROIT KICKOFF.

I concur...these will be my picks as well for Thursday.
I was explicitly told to not wear a Cardinals jersey to the family gathering though. :(

How about a nice Cardinals button up shirt?
I was told there would be no football at my family gathering. They were told in turn that I will not be attending if that is the case.

We agreed to have football in the garage
We’re moving couches and a big screen out there. Should be pretty fun. My brother is an Iggles fan.

Since I am flying back to Sacramento
for T-Giving I am going to miss the game. We eat at 5ish and then since I don’t cook I have to do all the dishes. That takes 2 freakin hours alone.
I will be wearing my Fitz jersey over my shirt and tie in solidarity, though.

I live in the Sac metro-area, RR
If you want to watch my cached copy off of TiVo Friday, let me know. It’s just me and the kids Friday. I’m techincally in Roseville near the Cirby/Sunrise intersection.

My fam is way out...
…in the Davis area and due to a certain traffic issue from my time in Fresno I am not allowed to drive in the state of CA until August 2009.
Thanks tho, Hawk. Maybe we can meet up for the Pats or Hawks game over Christmas-time. I used to watch games up at Mandango’s when I lived in Sac.

Actually, having a big party for the 21st
That’s the weekend of my fantasy football league’s championship game, so a bunch of the guys are in town from LA/SF and will be coming by to watch football, get in a little Wii, drink some Randy Romulans, and hopefully not destroy the Christmas tree. If the Cards/Pats game gets bumped to NBC, I imagine the party will be winding down if not over. You’re more than welcome to come on over. I’m a five minute drive from Mandango’s in Roseville, actually.

Awesome...
…I’d love to come. Not sure if I am flying out on the 20th or 21st yet. Might have to stay in AZ for the Louisville/Minny game on the 20th. If I fly on the 20th I am definitely there!

About the only Cardinals clothing item I don't have
A Cardinals polo has been on my Xmas list for years and I thought I was finally in luck last year but my wife gave me a Patriots polo…her team. ::sigh::
Maybe I’ll wear the Hamburg Sea Devils coach shirt…Antonio Smith played for the Sea Devils. That’s not too much of a reach. Or is it?

Plenty of time to recover, Matt
Sadly, we have to root against Andrew to have at least one bad week in the next five for the rest of the pack to have a chance to catch him.

IND – Colts on a roll
GB – Lambeau will be good to them
ATL – Matt Ryan is my favourite Irish sounding QB
NYJ – Favre all the way baby

needing a good week for once
TEN – come on really — they should extend flex scheduling to include Turkey Day games
DAL – uh….see above
ARI – We’re getting a win in the Eastern time zone, I can feel it.
BUF – SF is getting better but not good enough to travel all the way to Buffalo and get a W
BAL – CIN is pathetic
NO – Call me crazy but I think NO is about to go on a run
NYG – The Giants tough stretch continues but they’re 10-1 for a reason
MIA – MIA’s good enough to win on the road, especially in STL
IND – CLE is falling fast and Indy’s getting they’re wheels back on
GB – Two teams that needed to win last week but lost — big game for both so I’ll take the home squad
SD – The chargers are circling the bowl but they can still bite the Falcons if they’re at home
NYJ – Denver just lost at home to OAK so surely they can’t go on the road and beat the Jets right?
PIT – tough game but I think PIT is the better team
KC – two ugly teams so I just flipped a coin
MIN – tough game but Minny needs it more since they’re at home
HOU – Is Schaub back? It doesn’t matter, the Texans can play at home.

Repeating and continuing...
Ten (from above, boy, way to go Lions! Happy 75th!)
Dal (missed this game on purpose)
Ari (Cards looked like the London Silly Nannies from Family Guy™)
Buf (Back into the division title? I really don’t give a shit! NFC West Champions, wooohooo!)
Bal (For a brief moment, I thought about calling this game a tie)
TB (Go away NO and take your MVP “candidate” with you)
NYG (Just win out the season at this point…that way your loss in the playoffs is that much more sweeter)
Mia (Rams will cure any mediocrity)
Ind (And to think my wife and I had promoted the Browns as our third team to root for last year…::yawn::)
Car (Make those vacation plans earlier in Wisconsin)
Atl (What a turnaround for both teams)
NYJ (At least the Cards aren’t the Broncos :P)
NE (Cassel will be in KC next year, that’s my prediction)
KC (The real Raiders will show this week)
Min (Going to stick with the hometeam)
Hou (Same here)

Official Pick'em Ruling on Week 13
As per the discussion and ruling from a few weeks back, the full schedule of games needs to be picked to qualify as a “Week Picked” in the standings. wongy was late on the first two picks on Thursday (it was a holiday, I would have let that slide since he did pick the Cards’ game) and as of 3PM PST hasn’t picked the winner of the Bears @ Vikings game. If he hasn’t by that game’s kick-off, his picks for this week will be thrown out. So I hope you’re checking soon, wongy!
Probably the biggest ruling at this point is Andrew602 didn’t follow up on the Sunday and Monday games predictions. So his Thanksgiving picks are thrown out. To qualify for the RotB Pick’em “championship”, participants need to pick a total of nine weeks of the season. Without this week’s picks, Andrew will not have enough weeks picked to qualify. I hate to get all “Roger Goodall” on you all. :-/
Should make the last four weeks even more interesting!

:D
Would he be thrown outif he was languishing in the middle of the standings?
probably, its a shame he was leading though.
by Irishcardinal on Nov 30, 2008 4:39 PM MST reply actions 0 recs
First rule we made was a member had to participate for half the season...
…which rounded up to nine weeks.
Yes, it especially sucks that he was in the lead after four weeks of picks.
