NFL.com's Pat Kirwin says Cardinals are SB Contenders
I wondered how long we could fly under the radar, but I think this is the beginning of the media coverage that will be focused on the team if they can keep everything moving so well.
Whenever I watch ESPN or NFL network I only hear scant words about the Cardinals, and it's mostly having to do with Fitz or Q and whether they should be started or sat for fantasy this week. I always feel that the Cards are the team that's making the biggest improvements and there is something amazing brewing in the desert, but it seems to fall by the way side to news of "How bad the Colts are this year".
But there have been small flashes of recognition, especially when the there were talks of moving the Cardinals/Giants game to the Sunday night game. It seemed like they wanted to put more national air time on the team.
But of course, we'll see. There's still a lot of football left to play.

Until I see an X, Y, or Z next to Arizona in the standings...
…we haven’t done a thing. 5-3 does not make you a Super Bowl contender, it just makes clearly better than the rest of the NFC W-e-orst. Thanks for the recognition Pat Kirwin, but check back in around Week 14 and give us your thoughts then. This has been one of the biggest “wtf” NFL seasons as there has been in awhile and the next eight games anything can happen.

NFC
Given the rest of the NFC, I’d say that any team that makes into the playoffs has a decent shot. We’ll know much more in six weeks or so after we play Philly and NYG, but first they have to take care of the next two games. Once the West is locked up then, then we can start focusing on playoff seedings and picking up as many home games in January as possible.

Gotta agree
This year is a total toss-up in the NFC. I won’t believe a thing until we are playing in January.
