Week 13 Silver Linings
Wow morale seems to be down around here and this place is turning into a ghost town. Last week was rough with losses to the NY Giants and Philadelphia Eagles within a five day span. Although I can't blame any of you, there still are positives for week 13 and the remainder of the season. Lets boost the morale and get everyone back on the bandwagon. The season isn't over yet, and the playoffs are right around the corner. Here are some silver linings and positive notes to get everyone in a good mood.
- Larry Fitzgerald proved to be dependable even in the worst of situations, grabbing two touchdowns.
- Kurt Warner extended his streak of 20 straight games with a touchdown, breaking Neil Lomax's franchise record.
- Steve Breaston showed up at receiver again, getting his second TD of the season.
- Antrel Rolle stepped up when needed recording a game-high of 8 tackles.
- The Cardinals only had one penalty for 2 yards. Whatever they did to fix this issue has worked great lately.
- As AJ stated, they will have a 10-day stretch to get healthy and fix any issues before the Rams game.
- The Cardinals have 3/4 remaining games at home where they are 4-1.
- Two of the remaining games are against the Rams(2-10) and Seahawks(2-10).
- When they play the Vikings, they will most likely be without their two monster defensive tackles, Pat and Kevin Williams.
- We will make the playoffs! A win against the Rams or a 49ers loss secures it.
Feel free to post your own silver linings and get a conversation going.

Secondary should improve in the final quarter and beyond
As discussed in other posts, DRC and Rolle are starting to gel in their current starting roles. With a healthy Hood and Adub. The cards should finally have a decent secondary for the first time this season.
Another silver lining following that two game stretch is the 10 day break before their next opponent.
Also, the Cards can control their own destiny regarding the #3 playoff seed by hosting 1st place NFCN Minnesota at home the following week.

Good info. I will update it. Ill also put Rolle on the list since he is turning into the leading canidate for AZ Card of the Week.

Defense
Something does need to change. We have a lot of skilled players on the defensive side that can step up.

Hey Guys
Sorry I’ve been off the board for a little while. I was at the Giants game and left feeling very good about the team and took the long drive back to San Diego while listening to the team talk on the Big Red Rage radio show about where they thought they had gone wrong.
So I had high hopes for a decisive victory against Philly, but instead saw our WR’s drop passes they wouldn’t usually drop, our defense fall apart like I haven’t seen in a long time.
We saw some players step up again, Rolle, Fitz, and Breaston. But we also saw our LB’s leave their heads in AZ.
Oh well, it’s over. Come on Rams! Goodbye Dirk! Thank gosh we have a new punter!

Silver Lining
The remainder of the schedule should have the Cardinals finishing the season on a 3-1 streak. Minnesota is good but we’ve got them at home so they should be able to take care of business. With that game and two games against the dogs of the West, double digit wins is still very attainable.

10-6, I'll take it!

With both Williams out the rest of the season, maybe we can run on them.
Maybe, just a thought.

I would be really happy with 10-6 but a four game win streak to hit 11-5 going into the playoffs would be great.

Match the single season victory total for the Cards...sad, really. '25, '48, '75

A couple victories more each season?
16-0 2011? I’m so there!
The sad comment was intended for the fact the Cards maximum wins of 11 games in a season seems to happen once every quarter century. Looks like we’re almost a decade late.
