Wild Card Home Game Guest of Honour: Jake Plummer?
The Cardinals have been doing a fine job of reconnecting former Cardinals to the current regime and letting them taste a little of the succes this year's team is experiencing. A random thought on this came to mind as I was looking at more burnt up trees in the middle of no where that got me thinking: would Jake Plummer come out of his "cave" to be the on field guest of honour for the Cardinals' first home playoff game in 61 years? So much of the Cardinals ability to generate revenue and lure free agents to Arizona stems on his days at the helm of the Cards playing in half-empty yet half-filled with opposing fans Sun Devils Stadium. The Cards need to invite him and Pat Tillman's family to that game to do the "ceremonial" coin toss at the start of the game.
Good idea? Bad? Do you think Jake would do it?

that would be awesome
Hopefully Jake the Snake doesn’t have a handball tournament that weekend but outside of that, surely he’d come back if they asked him right?

it would be nice to have Jake back. He’s the last QB to win a playoff game for the Cards. But good lord was he frustrating.

Jake’s not going to come back.. if that’s the case we should invite all of the players back who went on to have GREAT careers post-cardinals.. like um.. Garrison Hearst..

Oh yes, Hearst, of course, his contributions as a Cardinal are the true catalyst for the ’98 season, the new stadium, and the early wave of new Cardinals fans over the past decade! :-/
It seems logical for the Cardinals to “honour” a former player that was involved with the ‘98 team at this first home playoff game in forever. In fact it would be “cool” to have someone come out of the old folks home from the ’47 team. But Jake seems like the logical choice from the ’98 team, especially considering his ASU connection. Aeneas was already acknowledged this year. Lomas Brown? Jamir Miller? Simeon Rice (now there’s your “yeah right!” player)? Swann?
We all leave footprints in the sands of time, just watch out for the discarded fish hooks!

if Jake won't come back they could always roll out Larry Centers
I wouldn’t mind seeing him again. If we play the Cowboys, they could show that clip of him jumping the Boys defender (that was him right?).
