"My only hope is that when the Cards do have to play in cold weather, they return to NAU to practice those weeks. It might just help them adjust to the weather, like in two weeks when they go to New England."
This is a post from azcentral.com, has this happened before? It's a really good idea IMO and might be something to look into.

I am not very knowledgable about...
seasons where we are making playoff runs considering I was a Sophomore in HS last time, but this would seem to be a great idea to have the Cards get aclimated to the colder weather. Anyone heard of them doing this late season?
Who would win in a fight, Whisenhunt, or God?

my thoughts exactly
I was about the same age so I don’t remember either. I know some teams do that though, so it seems to make sense. I’ll have to email Darren Urban and ask him if the Cardinals have done or have plans of doing that this year.

Good stuff, keep me posted.
Who would win in a fight, Whisenhunt or a Hurricane?
Hold on, hold on, what if the Hurricanes name was Whisenhunt?

Cards haven't done this to my knowledge
I cannot think of a team that’s done this in recent memory either. Niners did this back in the ’80’s before I Giants game…I think. Or Cincinnati. ::shrugs::
It’s an intriguing idea but I suspect that unconventional preparation techniques have lost some steam after the Washington layover earlier this year.

The Steelers did it this week
I only remember hearing about it b/c Ben R ‘tweaked’ his knee during the practice, although that may not be the best example to use, I guess.

On the real though, think about it.
The Washington layover left KW away from home. I think the fact he was so far away from his family for so long honestly affected his performance. This way, Brenda and her 27 kids from another man would be just a 2 hour drive away and probably could shack up in Flag for the stint. That’s way different than being two time zones away. Plus the elevation would benefit our guys getting winded and going back to sea level. Something to seriously mull over, IMO.

Urban's response
All of the team’s practices are outside b/c they don’t have an indoor facility but they’ve never made the trek back to NAU for any late season practices.
