For the first time in a long time the Cards are virtually healthy this late in the season (only week 2). Yes we have a slight flux with our nose tackle, but it is actually our only unhealthy position and they both (Branch and Watson) have seen the practice field a little this week. Going into week 1 we knew the Birds would need every healthy player available to defeat a steadily improving 49ers team. Not because they are that good, but because they seem to exploit our weaknesses like no other rival we have. Now with that monkey off our backs it is time to recharge and push forward with the 'phins. I feel that much more excited knowing that we will be going into the game with no less than 21 of our 22 starters.
At QB we have two of the top five passers in league history with Pennington (65.5 career completion percentage) and good 'ol Kurt (65.1 career completion percentage) facing each other. Now this number could be a little skewed because everyone thinks Chad can't can't throw the long ball meaning he has a better shot at accuracy throwing the short to intermediate pass. However Kurt will throw any pass due to his gunslinger mentality and still can reach his receivers. Which brings me to my next topic, the receivers. All healthy and all ready to go. And Whiz has already said he is not opposed to airing it out if need be. Hands down we have a better receiving core than the Dolphins. This also tells me that we have a better QB to receiver connection than the Dolphins and should pound them.
Those are just a few of my reasons for thinking we will win this week. But I'm sure you have much more. Agree/disagree and tell me what you think will be the reason we win.
