Around SBN: MLB Trade Rumors: Phillies, Astros close on Roy Oswalt deal

It's been a long time since any of us have seen an article like this!

So I'm browsing around NFL.COM, low and behold look what I find. Senior columnist with NFL.com Vic Carucci puts The Cardinals in the top 12...so far, GO CARDINALS!

The Pats are 2-0 and they didn't make the list, sweet! A lot of otherwise good teams off to a bad start that we were able edge out as well. This list may not be that big a deal to most but I don't think I've ever seen a list like that with our name on it.

More Red Kool-Aid please, here is the link:

I saw those power rankings

I thought about doing some kind of ‘power ranking roundup’ each week but I wasn’t sure how much anyone cared.

That is the highest I’ve seen the Cardinals ranked so far and it’ll be interesting how much higher they can go if they beat the Skins.

#1 in the NFCW is what I care about

though, I can’t help but look at all the power rankings in the media. ESPN has them ranked as the lowest 2-0 team (14) which is probably pretty accurate based off the teams they have beaten so far. Ironically the Chargers, ESPN’s highest ranked 0-2 team, is just ahead of them.

No disrespect to San Diego intended.

Classic Norv Turner

Last year was a fluke for Norv. I fear the Chargers will perform on par for the coach’s track record this year, especially if LT is gimpy.

We all leave footprints in the sands of time, just watch out for the discarded fish hooks!
