Linebacker is where it gets dodgy. Best looking option is Karlos Dansby out of Arizona, who seems unlikely to sign a long-term deal with the Cardinals before the offseason, but who's probably looking at a franchise tag.

He’ll definitely be one of the best LBs in next year’s free agent class, although I do hope that they can still resign him. I doubt they’d franchise him again considering he’s playing under the tag this year. The Cardinals have some big decisions to make in the offseason and I wouldn’t be surprised if it came down to Boldin or Dansby.

Normally by Week 2 most Cards fans are looking forward to the off-season moves where success is not measured by a win-loss record. Not this year. Focus on the now Cards fans, let the Chiefs mull the off-season already! We have plenty to talk about now; save February topics for…February!
