Yay!
Well i cant say that I have ever truly loved the Cards. Throughout the years growing up in Phx i have been frustrated at best with the Cards. Yet despite the team mediocrity and tyranny of the Bidwell’s I do support this team. I just want a reason to love this team as much as I do the Suns or the Dbacks.
Well winning this game is only the fist step in this team overcoming mediocrity, lets see if they can do it.

who's lucking out in all this?
The Cardinals should probably be up big right now. Two bad penalties (clipping this drive, the personal foul in the first quarter) have probably cost them a pair of touchdowns.

Gandy’s Penalty was the worst. We should have won this game by 2-3 TD’s at least given the TO ratio. I am a little more concerned now about the 49er’s this season and think it could be a three way race towards the end of the season. Niner’s look promising with JTO, Gore & a solid Defense.
Good first game no injuries that I know of to either team.

I apologize, Dirk Johnson
I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation that you were a shitty punter was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future…today.

Excellent Fielding and Lucky rolls
I was pleasantly surprised as well, but am more impressed by the men downfield spotting the ball. A couple of lucky bounces worked in our favor as well. All in all not bad, but they should have capitalized more on the field position.

were you guys able to watch the game?
How did we look? I’m proud of the no turnovers thing. Was Rolle confortable in centerfield?

Pretty invisible
I wasn’t watching Rolle specifically, but I hadn’t noticed him on any key tackles or on any key misses. Unlike Holt last year who missed a zillion tackles. I’m sure he’ll be more noticeable as he gets a better feel for the game.
No turnovers was an incredible thing. Forcing six, great. Only beating them by 10? Hmmm. Great second half in terms of ball control and overall game plan. Rackers’ miss at close range was irritating. Seeing DRC on offense was a WTF moment. Overall, a B grade, but I’ll take sole possession of first place in the division any day. Thank you Buffalo and Philly.

Ball Control Offense
This won the game for us. I can’t think of a time in recent memory when we could control the clock like this.
CHEERS for Edge’s first 100 yd game and Hightower’s first goalline touchdown!!
Special teams had some shining moments, and defense looked promising.
I love the LaBoy signing, and am so glad I ordered a custom #55 jersey yesterday with “PREDATOR” on the back!

Is it just me?
Or did Breaston lose his fearlessness on kick & punt returns that he had last season?

I think more important than winning our first game was winning our first game on the road.
We had a decent home record last season but were terrible on the road. I think this is a statement game that sets a precedence on the rest of the season. #1 in the NFC West.

A. Smith, Dockett, Robinson, Laboy
Laboy was pretty awesome, I must say. Dockett started strong and faded a bit. Antonio didn’t do much but was on the fumble recovery. Robinson supplied some pressure. Gore was pretty strong so the LBs were busy tackling him.
Beating a divisional opponent on the road is vital to any post season hopes. This is a great start to build on. No one out-right sucked for the Cards. Lots of players contributed rather than a few. This was the epitome of a team victory. It’s all good until Miami.
