Arizona Cardinals Heating Up Rotb

The NFC Championship has passed and the Cardinals have moved on to a much bigger stage. There are certain players that certainly stepped and came to play this past Sunday. This team has shown that what happened in the regular season has had nothing to do with the postseason. This week will feature the players that are heating up at the right time.

  1. Larry Fitzgerald - You could say he was the hottest player of the entire playoffs. He stepped up when his team needed him to, and helped secure the Arizona Cardinals first-ever Super Bowl appearance.
  2. Kurt Warner - Kurt has the most playoff experience on the team and has shown that so far in the playoffs. He's been virtually mistake-free and and was able to play well against some tough defenses.
  3. Edgerrin James - How can you be mad at this guy? He was put in the starting line up the last week of the season and hasn't looked back. He's made the difference on offense and is one of the main reasons we are here.
  4. Neil Rackers- This guy has shown he can be one of the top kickers in the league if he stays focused. He's almost back in my good graces, and I would say if he hits a game winning field goal in the Super Bowl I will be a Rackers fan forever.
  5. Cardinals Defense as a Whole - Where was this unit all season? They remind me of the Colts of '06. Nobody thought they would stand a chance in the playoffs and they've been pretty special so far. Lets hope this keeps up on Feb 1st.

Defense

I think they showed signs throughout the season of what they are capable of. I think that was the most frustrating part of the season for me, I never new which defense was going to show up.

I think the big challenge for this team next year will be finding a way to perform at the level they have in the play off through an entire season with. I think consistency itself is what defines a good defense.

I have..

Hopefully they can turn into New York of this year. The D got hot in the playoffs and stayed the same this year.

Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

Let's not forget Tim Hightower showing up in the playoffs

Tim has been making some awesome ground plays and is really proving his worth. The running back by committee is working very well!

Really good point, CF08

Apparently the offensive line can run block when they’re suitably motivated!

We all leave footprints in the sands of time, just watch out for the discarded fish hooks!
