Congrats to the Cards. Enjoy the NFC trophy.
Because it's as high of honor as you'll get this season. I'm glad everyone is jumping on your bandwagon. I'm glad that Arizona will be repped as the home team. I'm glad that ill educated football fans swear that a high flying offense will catch an elite defense off guard. I like it cause when I watch the steelers knock the life out of the Cards in the SB I will look at everyone and smile as waggon jumpers put their heads down and start to mope. I'm not here to talk smack, rub it in, or stir up a fight. The battle will be fought in 2 sundays. I'm only here to forewarn everyone that is jumping on the cardwaggon to eat your words when the time comes. Just like my charger friends, just like my Patriot friends, just like my ravens friends. You'll all eat your words. Remember everyone, "offense makes headlines. Defense wins championships." Congrats on all that you've accomplished this year Cards. This is where your season ends.

One NFL Championship in 30 years is not good enough! Maybe for eagles fans, but not for us!

typical jealous eagles fan
I expect excellence. I’m not ashamed of that. I want MORE TROPHIES and I, like the Steelers, will never be satisfied.
I don’t know where you see over confidence from me. I’m very concerned about the Card’s pass attack. I am confident that the Steelers have the tools to stop it, but any Sunday anything can happen.

Not this time, though.

whatever
you’re the one who started with the classless steelers bashing.
I’m appalled (in an internet sense, not a real life sense, I don’t really care) at some of the things I’ve read here so far, but it doesn’t seem like it’s the Cards fans. I guess winning brings out all the riff-raff.
I’m going to try to pull back and do what I came here to do, learn about the enemy. You go ahead and flap your jaws all week. Hopefully I’ll have plenty to say later.

What the hell
is your problem? You’re not going to say anything about the idiot OP who showed up just to troll? Between you and him…. it’s like you’re at an Ohio State rally and you’re screaming at the top of your lungs, trying to get equal time for Michigan. What did you expect? A bunch of groveling Cardinals fans on their knees, eager to fellate Ben Roethlisberger?

oh no you just crossed the line
comparing me to a michigan fan.
That’s low man.
I’m just sticking up for my team, but I need to take the initiative in this battle. This is Superbowl Week and trash talking is fun.
Alright we got one week to go. I’m glad that we seem to have an interesting match-up in the Best D of the Decade versus a high powered offense. An underachieving but improved offense capable of greatness versus an D that has greatly improved in the playoffs.
I think Santonio Holmes and Lamar Woodley are the keys to the Steelers’ success in this game. Both have stepped up their games in the playoffs and are very jealous of their ring-wearing teammates. While Harrison is being double-choke held Woodley has had 4 sacks in the last two games. Tone’ has had two electrifying touchdowns and quite a few key 1st down pickups.
Who can stop these two?

oh yeah and Willie Parker too
He’s the best defense against those wide receivers. If they’re on the bench they can’t do any damage.

Parker
ain’t exactly the Bus, though. Of course, Big Ben has improved since the last time as well. Rodgers-Cromartie will presumably be covering Hines Ward? (By the way, I expect Ward and Adrian Wilson to be smacking each other all day long) Woodley, Harrison, et. al. will have to contend with a youngish offensive line who’s only gotten better as the year’s gone on.
I think Heath Miller may play a pivotal role, as well — if he can open up the middle of the field against those Cards linebackers.

you better hope he doesn't
I know this is homerish, but Miller has to be the most underrated tight end out there. He has been nothing but cash money since the day they picked him in the first round. Straight money.

I remember the Card's beating us in the desert last year
Breaston had a special teams touchdown. That cannot happen in Tampa.
The Steelers kick coverage has VASTLY improved since last year, but out punter has been on IR since training camp and we have had some BUMS punting the ball. Berger is alright for an AARP member, but you may see a 20 yard punt or two. He really shanked one in the AFC title game.

#3 that's funny
you should have seen him gimping after the ball when James Harrison snapped it out of the endzone against the Giants.
Oh well, he’s made some tackles and we’ve won most of our games so he’s alright.

Never enough.
How can a team ever have “enough superbowl trips and rings?” That’s a pretty crazy comment there.
I don’t condone posts like these from the OP, but I will say that picking a team based on sympathy is pretty lame. Pick the winner and give us some analysis on why you think they’ll win. Teams don’t win the NFL because it’s “their time” or because their back story is inspirational or whatever. You can hope and dream all you want, but the better team will win this game.

my analysis, i pick the cards because the steelers fans are a buch of over confident assholes , hopefully the steelers players dont have this same mind set , but they probably do i think they did when they played the eagles and they lost, .. what you dont remember that sack fest on big ben -whos to say it wont happen again..

Wow.....
because, you know, this isn’t trolling or anything….
And Steelers fans keep wondering why everyone wants them to lose.
You know, a team with CLASSY fans would have bloggers go to their opponents’ site and actually wish them luck in good faith, minus all the “my dick is bigger than yours” crap. Oh, and because I’m a charitable guy and don’t want you to ever look like an idiot ever again, (if possible) I would recommend that you spell “wagon” correctly. (One g, not two)
Finally, if the Steelers are so dominant, I’m eminently curious as to why they lost to the Iggles, 15-6; the Giants, 21-14; the first-round playoff loser Colts 24-20, and the Titans by a whopping 17 points — 31-14?
SoCalSteelerFan? Perhaps you’d like to enlighten me, and give some really lame excuses?

Unorganized thoughts
Congrats on making it to the Superbowl Cards Fans. I’m happy to see the whiz getting it done and I love the NFL because anybody can win it all any given year. However, I couldn’t help but get off the sidelines on this one.
You seem to be refuting that the Steelers have been dominant. The evidence that you offered mentions the fact that we lost to four teams, and to one of those teams we lost by 17. Considering we have played the most challenging schedule in the NFL this year, losing only four games by a total of 37 points is an accomplishment. (For comparison’s sake, you lost 7 games, including one by 40 points and another by 21, both to non playoff teams)
Our team, especially our defense, has been downright dominant. Most people take this as a given, and If you’re not willing to admit this I’m wasting my time.
Also, I don’t necessarily think that the conditions of the cities will affect the outcome of the game. However, you might enjoy reading this:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/08/business/economy/08collapse.html
Since you’re not well versed in superbowls (yet), don’t be surprised when 95% of the fans in attendance are Steeler Fans. I’ll be a part of that toothless hoard.

Clearly,
I was using hyperbole in response to the OP’s blatant trolling. I don’t think anybody can really objectively dispute that the Steelers’ oeuvre this year has been pretty sharp.
Also, just to set the record straight, my team has won 3 of the 5 Super Bowls it’s played in (1 in the 70s, 3 in the 80s, 1 in the 90s) along with 2 NFL titles in 1937 and 1942 for 5 total NFL championships.

to set the record straight, we only lost one big game (jets) when it counted. We already had the division wrapped up and were looking for seeding when we faced Minny. After the game was out of reach, we shut it down until the playoffs.
Yeah, sounds like an excuse, but it was a sentiment shared by quite a few players that insisted that they would turn it back on for the playoffs and well here we are also. If you’re gonna grade us on our last part of the season, then you will be with the likes of the Falcons, Panthers, Eagles and everyone else who couldn’t see the setup. Don’t be stupid. Prepare as if you could possibly lose this game or its already over.

I thought everyone hates western PA
because it’s a decaying Third world country?
They have good teeth there, too:
Nearly half of children in Pittsburgh between 6 and 8 have had cavities, according to a 2002 state Department of Health report. More than 70 percent of 15-year-olds in the city have had cavities, the highest percentage in the state. Close to 30 percent of the city’s children have untreated cavities. That’s more than double the state average of 14 percent.

And he did state the obvious that the Cardinals’ season ends after the Super Bowl. Apparently the Steelers must be playing in Europe this Spring! The German fans would be thrilled since they’ve seen more pro-football than SoCal has the past 15-years.

Unfortunately for me though the only cardinals games I’ve watched have been the 3 post-season victories, and they sure look a lot better than a 9-7 team to me.
