Alright, the bad blood is flowing already, but we can still be civil, right? This post is a place for rational (although undoubtedly biased) cross-team talk.
Both teams seem to be relatively healthy heading into the Super Bowl. The biggest Steelers injury, of course, is Hines Ward. I'm almost positive he'll play, but it's hard to gauge how serious his knee sprain is and how effective he'll be. Safety Ryan Clark had a concussion on that scary hit on Willis McGahee, but 2 weeks is a safe time frame for recovery. An under the radar injury that may or may not be a factor is Mewelde Moore's ankle sprain. No Steeler has endeared himself more to the fans this year than Moore, as he's been a low maintenance, steady producer out of the backfield on 3rd down and when needed due to injury.
The interesting matchup in this game is the second best passing attack in the NFL vs. the best passing defense in the NFL. For the Steelers sake, I hope it goes better than the first half matchup between the #2 passing attack and the #3 passing defense, but this is a very different defense than the Eagles'. We have an outstanding tandem of OLB's that don't need a free shot to get to the QB. We have pretty good depth at the CB position, although I wouldn't trust any of them 1-on-1 with your WR's. Our #1 CB (Ike Taylor) can run with anyone in the NFL, but at times he has struggled playing the ball and he has AWFUL hands, which worries me in a jump ball situation against Fitzgerald.
Anyways, let the questions flow.
