Arizona Cardinals vs. New York Giants: Injury Report
With Wednesday's being the big practice day of the NFL week and the first release of an injury report it's always interesting to see who's name pops up on the list. For the Arizona Cardinals the injury situation is pretty clear. Anquan Boldin has a high ankle sprain and didn't practice at all, although he and Ken Whisenhunt said that they were encouraged by his progress. Boldin told reporters after practice that he thought he'd be a 'game time decision' which doesn't sound promising considering that he normally overly optimistic early in the week. Stephen Spach is the only other player who missed practice entirely but with the return of Ben Patrick, Spach's absence is less of an issue. Steven Breaston (knee) and Beanie Wells (hip) were both limited in practice but neither of them are in jeopardy of missing the game.
For the Giants the injury situation is a much bleaker picture. Michael Boley, Chris Canty and Aaron Ross are all starters who missed practice and are not expected to suit up on Sunday. With this trio being out coupled with the loss of Kenny Phillips earlier in the year, the Giants defense is missing four starters. The Giants had several other players who were limited, including starters Eli Manning, Antonio Pierce, Kareem McKenzie, but none of them are in jeopardy of missing the game.
The big question for the Cardinals will be what to do if Boldin can't play. Will Early Doucet see his first significant action of the season? Will the game plan change to a more conservative approach? Will Breaston still return punts if he's the #2 wide out?

if you're keeping score,
Eli: Seems like he’ll be limited in practice every week due to foot condition, but a sure start — unless the condition is aggravated in practice! AP & Kareem are minor muscle things. But honsetly I feel the Giants are sort of blaming their underachieving offense on a few guys who are missing… but look: last year, we did not have Canty or Boley. We did not lose any DLs, or linebackers, in the offseason other than maybe good cuts in camp. The only real excuse we have for injuries is on secondary… and the biggest loss is Phillips, season-long, so it’s time for the Giants D to stop making excuses and step up with who they have!

Good job knowing your team.
Oct 22 QB Eli Manning practiced fully on Thursday after he was limited during Wednesday’s workout. Manning has missed practice time each of the past couple of weeks and has still been able to start the game on Sunday. He’s expected to be good to go Sunday night against Arizona.
Here is the source.
Also, good job trying to rip into a fan of your team, Simms-McConkey.

Great
That means we get to see Jerheme"Drop the Ball" Urban. I’d rather have Doucet as the 3rd. Breaston will probably return punts still, just like Hester in Chicago. LSH still gets kick returns.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

Clearly Urban leaves some to be desired
But he does all right for a #4. Doucet has been unreliable as well, and gets injured just about every game he plays…
