Any Cardinals fans in Portland Oregon?

I am an Arizonan transplanted into Portland. My brothers and I and a few other friends all go out for Cardinals games wearing our Cardinals gear. I thought it would be really cool to try to get a large group of Cardinals fans to meet at a sports bar of some sort every sunday. Any other Cards fans here in portland that are interested? Any bars in mind?

I'm down in Salem...

….so I don’t think I’d me able to make it every Sunday, but I’d be down for a game or two when possible. Where abouts in PDX are you?

NE PDX

Hey, I’m an AZ transplant as well. Being a Cardinal fan outside of AZ can be a lonely business. Let me know if you guys decide to watch at a sports bar – I’d be interested in joining you. Buffalo Wild Wings has a few locations around town but can get pretty crowed, especially during the Seahawks games. I’m sure there are other options as well. Greg

Are you referring to the BW3 downtown?

I just moved to Oregon a few months ago and I’m still not good at the geography and being in godforsaken Salem doesn’t help.

Isn’t there supposed to be a cool bar in Lake Oswego or Bridgeport? Also, I am a fan of Blitz in the Pearl.

I’ve been to the BW3 at Cascade Station (2 minutes from the airport). They’ve got locations downtown and out in Gresham and Beaverton, I think. Not really familiar with any other sports bars. I haven’t been in Blitz, but know right where it is. Do they show all NFL games? It seems pretty small from the street.

I know the BW3 by the airport.

The one downtown is between 3rd and 4th but I don’t know the cross-street. Blitz shows all the games. It looks small from the outside but its a basement bar. It opens up downstairs. I think the one in Lake Oswego is Players.

I am not sure where the best place to go is. I have been going to a different bar every week. Haven’t found a really good sports bar yet. I live downtown though. I am open to ideas. I Prefer a local place though if possible. Just rather support the local bars.

I work about a block from Blitz so just took a stroll down there to check it out. Looks pretty sweet. Might be fun to watch game there this Sunday. You guys interested? Greg

Some options

The Blitz is definitely cool. I actually think the East Blitz is better. Definitely a bigger venue with a bunch of screens. Claudia’s on se 30th(ish) and Hawthorne is a good spot. On Deck in the Pearl is super nice, but slightly spendier. Definitely a good spot for a game though. Cheerful Toroise is always choice, but can get a bit cramped at times. The Marathon down on W Burnside and 18th is a good option as well. I suppose downtown is the most central and would be the most viable option trying to get everyone together. I say the Marathon. Who’s down?

Not this week...

…but either next week or the following. Actually think I will be up there taking a friend to the airport on the day of the Seahawks game anyway.

I am down for wherever is easiest. We just need to make sure the bar has NFL Network and make sure they will be able to put the game on for us. Any final verdict?

Pick whatever you want to make a Cards bar

I’ll make it up there when I can.

Sounds to me like Blitz Pearl is the best bet for all involved. What do you guys say we all meet up there for the game Sunday? Well, everyone that can anyway. If that works out, we should make it THE Cardinals bar of Portland! How bad ass would that be? Spread the word that the Red Army is invading the Pearl! Would it be a really bad pun to say we’re Blitzing the Pearl? Yes. Yes it would.

I've been a Cardinals fan for 30 years

but am a native Portlander (I just liked the bird). I would love to go to a sports bar and know they are broadcasting the Cards game. If you can feature the Blitz people to feature the Cardinals game, I will give it a shot.

We did end up going to the Blitz in the pearl. That place was amazing! We will be there next week for sure. Hopefully with a much better game to watch next time though…

Cardinal Bar

Hey guys—Blitz works great for me. I’ve been going there for a while actually. I was the guy who came in on my lunch break from Powell’s and said hi. I’ve been a Cards fan for most of my life. Like 30 years! Hopefully see you guys there again.

New Addition

I was born and raised in Phoenix… I’ve lived here in Oregon almost 5 years. I stumbled upon this site and joined a few years later. I can’t believe I missed this message last week. I usually head to the local NFL Network bar…. this week though…. I’ll venture the couple miles to the Blitz in the Pearl just so I can see a few Red Birds in this land of SeaChickens! Hope we keep our road record flawless in Chicago! See ya there!

Good times at Blitz

It was nice watching the game with fellow Cards fans for a change. Blitz was sweet. Too bad Cards laid a giant egg against Panthers. I’ll try to be there again this Sunday.

We go to Claudias on 30th and Hawthorne

Great to read there is so much red in PDX. My buddy and I usually go to Claudes on Hawthorne, but we may need to head over to Blitz in the Pearl (I wasn’t aware that they had NFL ticket). I will be out of town this weekend (Chicago, actually, and unfortunately no affordable tix), but I will plan on the Blitz next time. Cheers and go Cards!

Are people going to Blitz this weekend for Cards/Rams?

I made it first weekend against Carolina but have been out of town last two weekends.
