Around SBN: Leandro Damiao Is Still Really Good

I don't see anything that needs to drastically change except for our protection of our quarterback. He's not the most mobile guy back there, but if he gets time he can pick any defense apart. The Colts defense is good, but we made them look like all-stars out there. We turned it over in the red zone and you can't do that. We have to come away with at least three when we get the ball down that far.

why is Rolle speaking for the offense

Did he already forget that his defense allowed about 1,000 yards?

What I'm not hearing is...

There are some things in the secondary and special teams that need cleaning up (for example, blown coverages and bouncing punts that get muffed or bounce off of punt returners – if you know what I’m sayin’).

The Indy debacle was a “team effort” for which every player on our 53-man roster must feel responsible and be held accountable for doing his part toward fixing whatever’s broke.

I didn’t hear that from Antrel. All I sensed was a giant finger pointing at the offense.

I hope I’m hearing wrong.

lol, here let me translate what Rolle is saying

“It’s cool to give up 505 yards, 31 points and allow an offense to score on five out of six drives. The reason we lost is because sorry OL couldn’t protect our old, broken down, has been quarterback. Pay no attention to the defense getting their teeth kicked in. It’s their fault.”

Geez, how embarrassing.

To be a little fair to the guy ...

Before the above quoted, he writes:
“Peyton Manning is great but he went off because of our mental letdowns on defense. If you give him a chance to beat you he’s going to beat you and that’s what we did all day. We had a great gameplan going in, we just didn’t execute it. As a team we beat ourselves all day.”
