Wabbit Season Is Over: Pick'em Week 9 Results & Week 10 Picks
Hunting season is over. Starting this week and running through Week 15 there will be Thursday games on the schedule; to qualify for that week's Pick'em all eight games have to be picked before kick-off of that Thursday game (or the Friday game in the case of Week 16's schedule, a mandatory pick week). You're welcome to change your picks later in the week as breaking news happens, but your last pick selection is locked upon the kick-off of those respective games.
Another rough week was had by many as the Raven and Eagles disappointed most. The Eagles' pick was the sole blemish on kj197728's week. After spending a portion of the year dwelling near/in the cellar, kj is steadily extracting himself out of the basement and earns the Week Won Point in full. Congratulations, kj197728!
This is an elimination week; those participants (tigg, Undrafteds, Xquizyt) that have only picked one week thus far will be dropped from the Overall Rankings unless they pick this week and every week through the end of the season.

Staying up late to catch MNF is rough...how do East Coasters do it?
Chicago (Singletary doesn’t care about the Cardinals; perhaps the pissed off Bears do and will spank the Niners)
Atlanta (Carolina will make this tough)
Pittsburgh (I’ll be pulling for the Bengals but winning in Pitt has never been Cinci’s strong suit)
Oakland (As long as Cable doesn’t punch a KC cheerleader and get the Chiefs fired up)
Dallas (I understand they’ll be wearing Tampa’s Orange Julius uniforms to make the Packers nauseous a second week)
Arizona (Will the HFA show up?)
Indianapolis (Pats have shown more vulnerability and are on the road)
Baltimore (I will not be staying up for this game…)

You picking which games we play each week by throwing darts? lol
Hawk, how does this first pick for the 2010 draft game (KC 1-7 @ Oak 2-6) make the list and Philly 5-3 at SD 5-3 get left out of the 8 this week?

The Oakland / Kansas City game is a competitive divison match up.
Philly and San Diego should be competitive but it is nothing like a division match up where anybody can win.

Games are picked based on being televised, NFC West, and then difficulty in the pick
Thus the Rams/Lions game a couple weeks ago. Chiefs/Raiders this week. Both teams stink so picking the winner is just as difficult (if not more so) than a game between good teams such as the Eagles/Chargers game as everyone is less likely to have seen much of those teams playing which infers more gut picks than educated picks. ::shrugs::

Every pick cannot be a "lay-up" nor "sexy"; Chiefs/Raiders is ugly but no less challenging to pick than any other game on the docket.

I got a movie quote past someone on this site?!?!
It’s even a football movie. Do you need a hint?
by Drullin'OverDaCards on Nov 10, 2009 8:00 PM MST up reply actions 0 recs
You sure did.
Walhberg, Cruise, Washington, and Sandler starred in the last football movies I’ve seen in recent history and frankly they’re all a blur.

It's from Jerry McGuire, so you listed it
Rod Tidwell asks Jerry why he got married Jerry responds “She was loyal.” then Tidwell go’s off on a rant including the above.

Gotta make up for a bad week last week...
Chicago – They won’t play like they did against us on Thursday.
Atlanta – This could go either way but I think Michael Turner and the Falcons pull it out.
Pittsburgh – Won’t make the mistake of not picking them anymore.
Chiefs – Oakland usually wins this match up but I have a gut feeling.
Dallas – Tampa exposed Green Bay to just how bad they really are.
Arizona – It’s a gamble because we are at home but I think we show up to play.
New England – New Orleans will be the only perfect team now.
Baltimore – It’s ridiculous that this is a prime time game…

SF – Something tells me the Niners rise up and get a decent win
ATL – really tempted to take CAR but I’m going with the gut on this one
PIT – Can’t go against PIT at home
KC – I guess I’ll take the Chiefs although I’m tempted to predict a tie here
DAL – Dallas is on a roll….GB is a tough place to play but they can’t protect Rodgers
ARI – one win closer to locking up the division
IND – Crank up the hype machine
BAL – how the hell did Cleveland get a Monday night game?
Be careful....to a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Need a bounce back week...
SF—just don’t see them losing 5 in a row, and the Bears aren’t good.
Car at home
PIT looking for revenge against the Bengals
KC/OAK tie 0-0. Can’t I pick both to lose? No? OK, KC then.
Dallas in GB
Cardinals statement game at home, win big.
NE at home, the Colts have to lose sometime.
Baltimore in the easiest game to pick all week.

1 more step to rising out of the basement
San Fran- I gambled with them last week, they should get the win. Did i mention Im glad we have Thursday night football?
Carolina – The Panthers are due for another win
Pittsburgh – their D is getting a lot better
Kansas City – Tough pick but Ill gamble on Russel sucking
Dallas – Ware will have 2 sacks, Cowboys roll
Arizona- Cardinals finally get another home win
Pats – This one’s hard, but Brady should have his way with that secondary.
Baltimore – Too easy.
What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

Week 10
Some tricky games this week.
BEARS – Cutler goes for 450 and 3 scores and the defense forces 3 INTs from Smith.
PANTHERS – Falcons aren’t very good against the run. DWill goes bonkers on them.
STEELERS – Want to pick the Bengals, but I’m a chicken.
CHIEFS – Revenge game.
PACKERS – Packers look to rebound after horrible game last week.
CARDINALS – I should pick against them. They are 2-0 when I do.
COLTS – I’m picking the better SNL host in this game. For SNL fans, check out Peter King’s MMQ blurb about how seriously Peyton took the role when he hosted a few years ago.
RAVENS – The only real no-brainer here IMO. Now watch the Browns tear it up this week :)

Week 10 Picks
Gotta win again to keep out of that cellar. These games are not going to help me by any means!
SF – Bears have to travel to the West Coast and prepare in a short time.
ATL – As long as Ryan avoids the picks. Panthers put too much in last week to win.
PIT – Edge out the Bengals this time but this one will be tough.
OAK – Boring game but Raiders pull a win out. Chiefs have way too many problems now.
DAL – Look like they have a winning team for now.
ARI – Cardinals finally win at home again.
NE – I think the Colts are struggling just enough to lose.
BAL – They can at least beat Cleveland.
