Dick Jauron Becomes First Head Coach to get Fired this Season
Jauron never lead his team to a winning season in the 3 and a half season he was head coach. His final record with the Bills was 24-33. This will most likely be his last head coaching job as he also failed as head coach of the Chicago Bears from 1999-2003 and as the interim coach of the Detroit Lions in 2005.
*Update*
According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell will be the interim head coach for the team.

Bills were delusional to ever hire Jauron
Except for one fluke season (2001) as HC of the Bears, Jauron has never done anything at that position.

News like this should remind of us of just how far we've come
We may not be ‘elite’ or perfect but we’re also not one of these teams anymore. No more ‘interim’ coaches, no more dreaming of top five picks, no more bottom feeding.

How could you leave Denny Green out of that list?
::ducks the tossed shoe:: Oh yeah, he’s the head coach of the California Redwoods, that’s right.
We all leave footprints in the sands of time, just watch out for the discarded fish hooks!

Chucky is going to be on ESPN for a while.
He’s out.

Maybe not.
That extension means nothing. There is usually a way to get out of the contract.

He seems pretty happy in the booth.
It would probably take a lot for him to leave that contract with ESPN.

they all seem happy in the booth
but we’ll see how happy he is when someone starts waving those Benjamins in his face.

Jauron's tenure hasn't been all awful
The D has been decent…

D hasn't been bad...
but he still never had a winning record. He did start 4-0 last season but the Cards quickly derailed that.

Who comes next?
We all know Jim Zorn is gone at the end of the season but who is the next coach to get fired before season’s end?
My money is going on Tom Cable of the Raiders.

Who knows what Al Davis is going to do?
…but if he wants to draw interest from anyone other than desparate scrubs, I think he’s got to give Cable to the end of the season, at least (and should probably give him one more).
Though this could be a bad year for freshman coaches: Mangini (Browns), Haley (Chiefs), Morris (Buccaneers), and Spagnuolo (Rams) have all struggled.
Others:
— Kubiak (Texans), McCarthy (Packers), Phillips (Cowboys), Del Rio (Jaguars), Fox (Panthers) all probably hang in the balance depending on how their teams finish this year.
