Around SBN: Transfer Rumor: Bolton On Verge of First Signings

Warner has been wearing gloves since 2006, and now Pierre and Leinart decided to try it out too.

We also got a picture from HardHat.

lol

sigh

I remember seeing Brian Brohm (Packers, now Bills) wearing a glove on his throwing hand in the preseason and the commentators were picking on him — apparently his hands get sweaty when he plays, I dunno — but I was thinking, hey, Warner can do it, why not?

Yeah, it has helped out Warner a lot since he started doing it.

If it works, they should try it.

I can't do it.

I tried throwing with the gloves on about a week ago and the ball barely went anywhere. Maybe it just takes some practice but I would rather throw without the glove.

I would assume that they would help if anything

Interesting.

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

I don't know...

maybe it takes some getting used to….I only threw two or three of them before I gave up and took the throwing hand glove off.

They are just like these , only red and black (color doesn’t really make a difference).

Jim McMahon

was a big proponent of it during and after his career. Apparently it helped him grip the ball better, he was saying that they don’t rub them down enough anymore.

Who knows? If it made the ball more accurate and increased the distance of their throws I’m sure most QB’s would attach sand paper to their hands. I’m guessing that gloves are more psychological than anything but whatever works, go with it.

It's kind of cool though.

It shows that Leinart (and I guess BSP) is watching and really taking to Kurt’s teachings. He’s learning from one of the greats. Lets just hope he learns the mental side of the QB position from Warner, so far he seems like he’s catching on.

He did look more accurate with it on.
