Gandy injured in 2nd quarter, Bridges in.

Darren Urban reported something and I felt it should be discussed.

"GANDY BANGED UP

Starting left tackle
Mike Gandy was forced to leave the game early because the pelvis injury – which has limited him in practice the past few weeks – flared up. Whisenhunt said Gandy will be looked at today, but “he has been struggling with that.” The Cardinals’ offensive line has started as a unit in 27 straight regular-season games and 31 overall including the postseason.
Veteran
Jeremy Bridges replaced Gandy and Whisenhunt said Bridges played well. Bridges also was satisfied with the performance, especially since he had never played left tackle in a regular-season game previously.
“The whole preseason I played left tackle (while with Washington),” Bridges said. “But that’s the first time in a game that counts.”

Did you guys noticed right about that time Matty wasn't being pressured from his blind side too much?

True

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

Damn

I feel like an ass. So Levi came up big with that.

A man from Dallas who bleeds red, not silver and blue.

Maybe

it was a turning point for Levi. Just trying to be optimistic — the Minnesota will tell us a lot about where our OL is at.

the real question here is who would start at LT if Gandy were to actually miss a game?

Keith or Bridges?

Bridges experience would win out I'd think

Keith would at least be dressing that week.

sort of a catch 22 though

Bridges has experience but not at LT. Bridges can also backup both tackles and guard while I’m guessing Keith would be slightly more limited.

It might also depend on who’s starting at QB……options, options, options.

Thought Bridges did well though

I didn’t even notice he was playing until late in the third. I’d worry that the opposing team would tee-off seeing Keith in action for the first time in a regular season game and overwhelm the kid. Sink or swim, he’ll come out of it a better player.

yea true that

Of course if we’re talking about this week then it probably won’t matter. Jared Allen is going to eat up anyone that we put over there, Gandy included.

Especially Gandy ::sigh::

Can we issue the OL riot shields and pepper spray? Oh wait, I forgot Allen uses pepper spray in his chili recipe.

Two TE set?

With our offense it’s hard to picture, but it may be necessary.

Patrick and Becht were in together on a few plays last week

May be

a lot more than a few this week — will be curious to see what the Whiz and Grimm come up with.

I vote for the hit man

yea we have been using more 2 TE sets

and with our FB (or lack thereof), it makes sense to keep Patrick and Becht on the field on running downs. One of them can motion into the backfield and serve as a lead blocker or they can ‘unbalance’ a formation by both lining up on one side. Either way the double tight set can create some mismatch problems and makes more sense then using Krieder at this time (even though I was driving his bandwagon two months ago).

Now that we know Beanie can catch

put him back there with Timmy, While Fitz, Q, and Breaston spread out opposing secondaries
