GO CARDS

The Cards are officially in the playoffs. All the 9er talk is over yes they beat the cards twice but none of that means anything now because they are on the outside looking it. Now with that said some tough decisions need to be made. Like who do we sit if anyone? I'm in the mindset of lets rest are guys who need it. Take care of your players and they will take care of you. Warner and Fitz are the first 2 that come to mind obviously they were not 100 percent out their today. I think all of us would like to see what Matt can do after the titans game. And the depth quality we have at receiver is a great reason to let Fitz rest. DRC might also be due for a game break. I have high hopes for Toler and would like to see what he can do for the team. The rams can be a tough team even if the cards start everyone so its defiantly  not a gimme if we have back ups in. I like to see Matt score some points and lead some drives down the field. With the cards pretty much locked up in the 4th spot in the NFC i don't really see a downside to resting some players. Let me know what you think and if the cards have any other players that need a rest.

Tune up against the Rams...

…by trampling them as much as possible. Give the starters opportunities to destroy an opponent and get that swagger back. When the score is out of hand, throw in the youngsters and back-ups.

Against the Packers, give the starters a half (or quarter) to stay in sync but play a vanilla package or better yet, try something really different to add some misdirection for our potential post-season opponents. I’d like to see Rolle and/or Q taking some snaps for snits and giggles. Then let the youngsters and back-ups finish up and come out of it all healthy and confident. I’d expect Green Bay to be doing something similar.

Don't waste time or Time will waste you.

Agreed

It seems like anytime a team shuts down their starters a couple of weeks before the playoffs they lose all momentum and are ripe for an early upset come playoff time. If someone legitimately needs time to heal, of course now would be the perfect time to let them but otherwise keep fine-tuning everything for the real season.

Some of the most entertaining football I’ve seen all year is when I’m watching Rolle take the direct snaps. He and Q are awesome when given the chance; I’d hate for the Cards to have a game against the Rams like they did the Lions. IMO the Rams are a better team than the Lions and being a division opponent the Rams are going to play the Cards tough. The Rams have nothing to lose and a chance to upset the Cards.

i gotta disagree

the lions are far better than the rams. the lions have actually played well this year (relative to last year) and a lot of teams have had tough wins agains them. the rams are absolutely terrible, and the only players on that team who should be playing in the nfl are steven jackson and jake long. also, warner always destroys the rams. always. i’m expecting a 130+ qb rating from him this week

Really? Just Jackson and Long?

Donnie Avery seems like a decent receiver, I would take him as a number 2 or 3. James Luarinaitis would be a great replacement for Karlos Dansby, in fact I wanted us to take him if Beanie was off the board. The also have C Jason Brown, OT Jason Smith, and FS Oshiomogho Atogwe. I would take all those players on my team.
