Kurt Warner to become a Free Agent?
Just saw it on Sportscenter about 20 minutes ago... Warner and the team couldn't make an agreement on the salary, and according to ESPN he is most likely going to become a free agent "barring a last minute phone call".
So what are your thoughts on this? Would you guys rather put your faith in Leinert, go after a FA, or the draft maybe? I just saw no one had posted this yet and I'm curious to what you guys think of this... so yeah, discuss. :p

Because he hasn’t signed by the FA deadline doesn’t mean a deal won’t happen with the Cards. If he signs elsewhere I’d be surprised as ‘ell. If he retires, fine, that’s a lot of money freed up to bring in talent that will allow Leinart to succeed. No worries here…yet. Ask again in mid-August.

hawk we might be on to something with our lowball comments. like i said, all that money could improve the line or something. Now we need to restructure Edge’s deal to be a little more cap friendly and he could retire a Card.

Im going with Hawk on this one..
If he doesn’t sign, then build on our future with Leinart. BUT, I also saw it a while ago on NFL Network but didn’t bother to post because it’s really the same news.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

Doesn't mean much
I am not worried too much about him not signing by the FA deadline. His family is here including HS aged children. He won’t uproot them. He won’t get as much money from another team and will remain a Card.
If he really wants out, then I am also not upset. He is a 74 year old QB; it isn’t like we were going to build our future team around him. It’s business and it happens; now whether we should be building around Leinart is another issue. Yes that is back-to-back semi-colons.
When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome again.

I dont think Leinarts back is strong enough to build a dynasty on.
Have to say I was hopefull that they would pay up and keep the core of last seasons team alive and try to take that momentum and double down.
It’s feels like i’m sitting at a black jack table. Graves and Bidwell are sitting at 1st and 3rd base and hitting on 13 when the dealer is showing 6.
Just saying…the table had a good vibe, dealer was busting, and now she just hit a 7 card 21.
They better fix this before it breaks.

TO will be looking for a home longer unless Oakland calls first.

That would
certainly be the logical place for him to end up.
