Washington Redskins Sign Albert Haynesworth to 7-Year $100 Million Deal
Adam Schefter reported that the Redskins have already offered Haynesworth the deal and Haynesworth has accepted pending a physical. "...The deal includes $41 million guaranteed in the first three years, and the maximum value of the deal could be $115 million." The good news is that the Cardinals do NOT play the Redskins in 2009.
As a side note, RB Fred Taylor has signed with the New England Patriots. No information on the deal yet.

So much for a "recession" in FA values
So how long does he last in Washington, DbS? Three years and released? Snider is the NFL’s Schottenheimer. Yet all that money tossed around and the Redskins haven’t even sniffed a NFC title game. ::shrugs::

Er, Snyder
I think so poorly of him I cannot even get his name right…

S'okay.
Same thing happens with your owner, too… Bidwill or Bidwell?

The NFL's Schottenheimer?
I thought Schottenheimer was the NFL’s Schottenheimer?
The headline is 7 years, $100 million but, without actually seeing the terms of the deal, I’m guessing it’s only going to be for 3-4 years. Guaranteed is reportedly $32+ million. After 3 or 4 years, depending on how Painworth performs, the ’Skins will either release him or ask him to restructure. (With the carrot of an extra bonus)
If the NFL actually does lose the salary cap, you can be sure The Danny will cream his pants. Here’s my take, albeit not very seriously. Some ’Skins fans, like Kevin and Ken @ Hogs Haven, are having flashbacks to underperforming Dana Stubblefield, and Big Daddy Wilkinson.

Incidentally,
that was before the ’Skins signed Dockery.

LOL
Steinbrenner…one of those S-names. Snyder, Schottenheimer, Steinbrenner, Snuffleuppagus.

Ah.
Sorry, I shoulda caught it on my own. No, Steinbrenner at least has a few titles. Plus, Snyder doesn’t have the whole “felon” thing, either.

I guess theyre going after the Cowboys Shanty.
Trying to beef up that D line.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

Haynesworth, Taylor
The Redskins can have Haynesworth. At times he was a brilliant defensive player but at other times he seemed to not play as hard as he should be. I think this is a bad move to give him so much money because he is not going to live up to that kind of pay.
Taylor should do well in New England. They have a good OLine and with the holes they can open they should have a great running game with him. It was a good pick up for them.
Great teacher for Maroney too
