Another One Down, Antonio Smith Signs with Texans
Adam Schefter has reported that:
"Cardinals free-agent defensive end Antonio Smith is now a member of the Texans. Smith signed a five-year, $35 million deal that includes $12.5 million in guarantees on Saturday."
I'm starting to wonder if Rod Graves has a trick up his sleeve. He's let two free agents roam free now. Is there a deal in the making or will the Cardinals' needs be answered in the draft?

Wow this one is depressing.

Yet not a surprise at all
After Smith’s comments of not liking the 3-4 defense that was his way of saying “see ya later” a couple of weeks ago. Campbell was drafted to replace Smith last year so management was expecting his departure to wealthier pastures.

Loved the guy. I'm always a softy for guys that were on the practice squad, went through Europe, and become starters.
I finally have someone on the Texans I can truly root for since Shipp didn’t last long there.

Not sure how...
…you can’t root for Williams. The guy was lambasted when he was selected over Bush and he has only proven all of his doubters wrong. With Williams, Slaton and now Smith, it’s going to be hard to supplant the Texans as my AFC crush.

so far everyone who was not re-signed and has signed elsewhere is replaceable.
no need to worry and although i keep pushing for kurt to leave, it is still early in FA. plus hawk is right. we have not been very active early in FA for a few years now. you don’t have to like the stategy, but it was part of the reason we made it to the SB.

Well said
totally agree with hevchv, these departures where expected as for Kurt Warner I don’t know what will happen at the end, but his reputation has been hurt badly (and I tought Randy Johnson was selfish)… I don’t like the strategy but I have faith in Graves and Whisenhunt, after the results I guess they deserve that vote of confidence from us the fans… GO CARDS

(and I tought Randy Johnson was selfish)…
That could also be because Randy really only cares about getting his 300th win.
