Arizona Cardinals Re-Sign Elton Brown

Stay connected for news and updates

The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed backup offensive lineman Elton Brown. Brown's played guard and tackle during his four seasons with the Cardinals and was their top backup at both guards in 2008. I'd imagine it's not a long term contract and will likely have the stipulation that he's given the chance to battle for a starting job. Brown, a former fourth round pick started nine games as a rookie but struggled with injuries the next two seasons and lost his starting job to Deuce Lutui in 2007 after starting seven games. Terms or length of the contract haven't been released as of yet, but we'll update as soon as more information is known.

The Cardinals sure seem to be in the midst of a flurry of re-signings and could be positioning themselves for a "best player available" philosophy in the upcoming draft. Another good move for Graves and the front office?

Update: Brown's deal is for one season although the financial terms still haven't been released.
