Kurt Warner - Niners Nation - Revenge of the Birds
This is Fooch from Niners Nation. People are definitely getting intrigued over at NN right now. I still don't see Warner pulling the trigger on a deal with the 49ers but it certainly makes for interesting conversation.

I think
it might be a smart move for SF, but it’d def. be a dumb move by Kurt.

No offense intended
to Niner Nation, of course.

Yeah my +1 was with the smart move by SF. This is Kurt's last payday. Why not make it a big one?

True....
I hadn’t thought of that. It DOES seem kinda dumb for him to sign anywhere else, though.

none taken
The whole thing seems crazy to me (that he’d leave Arizona). But he really must think he’s being disrespected I guess.

Perfect storm in Arizona, perfect disaster on the Bay
Thank gawd the Giants don’t share ‘Stick with the Niners anymore. All those receivers slipping on the infield? Warner would have a 1:3 TD:INT ratio. As it is, it will be 1:1 in Frisco. Can Bruce jump high enough with that walker of his to snag passes like Fitz? Jones? Warner bitches if he has to hand off three times in a row in the first half, how’s he going to like Gore establishing the tone of the game?
Kurt, if your church needs the cash, go to SF. Just be careful of Arnold and that lovely CA Income Tax. $39 billion in debt, California? Warner’s taxes alone could keep my son’s school’s teaching staff from getting laid off on the Ides of March. #@*$# state budget…
Hey Fooch, see if Steve DeBerg will come out of retirement. A helluva lot cheaper and probably just as effecitve with those receivers. Oh wait, DeBerg reborn was O’Sullivan. Sorry, my bad. ;-)

I think a decision will be made on Wednesday.
What’s the over/under on the decision?

Could be...
…as Kurt will give the Cardinals a chance to counter.

Good call.
Kurt will almost certainly give the Cards a chance to match any deal he can dig up somewhere else.

Sigh
Isn’t this all a big joke? He would go to a coach who wants a running game with horrible WRs? He would leave a pass happy offense with the best WRs in the NFL for Brandon Jones? I just wish he would stop this charade. Mr. Jesus (not degrading that but seriously, WWJD?)is bitching over a couple M on a 20+ deal when he has already made more money than any American can make in his lifetime. I love the dude, but really, this is kind of sad. At this point, if he wants to go then I hope AZ kicks the snot out of him when they play SF.

Can't do better than Rick Chandler's commentary on Deadspin

He is obviously not a humble saint based on his negotiation style. No problems with the WWJD-ilk, but I don’t appreciate people front-ing on that basis.

Let it go
i am almost to the point of telling Warner to take it or leave it and if he leaves spend that 10 mil and give Leinart his shot. if you think about it we would have wasted a 1st round pick on Leinart if Warner signs with us because once Warner leaves via retirement there is no way Leinart would re-sign with the Cards after sitting on the bench for 5 years.
Red Reign, glad to see you are a supporter of “How I Met Your Mother”.

I've been feeling that way for the past few weeks.
Why are most people down on Leinart? How many games has he started? Like 12 or something? Give me a break.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.
