Hey Arizona fans, my name is Jake and I am one of the writers for BattleRedBlog, the SB Nation site devoted to the Houston Texans. I’m sure I’m not the first blogger from another team to visit your site and post something arbitrary because it happens regularly at BRB. Sometimes it is relevant to either the Texans or the NFL at large and worth reading, and other times it can be the opposite.
I just completed a Mid-offseason Mock Draft, and wanted to share who I selected for your team for you. I hope this isn’t a waste of your time and welcome feedback whether it is negative or positive. Below is the excerpt of who I thought the Cardinals would take and why, as well as possible alternatives. If you would like to view the entire Mock Draft to see how I got to your pick, simply follow the link above in the beginning of this paragraph.
(Authors Note: My comments about the Cardinals might seem insulting, but they're not designed to be. I have a lot of respect for your fanbase and felt good for you guys last year. My comments are aimed only at your ownership and do not apply to your players, coaches or fans. I hope you don't take offense.)
31. Arizona Cardinals: Knowshon Moreno/RB/Georgia (Previous Pick: Knowshon Moreno) – The Cardinals will eventually let Edgerin James go because he’s old and they’re cheap. I really feel bad for the Arizona fans because even though they reached destination that all teams aspire to last season, the ownership will continue its stingy ways and therefore look to cash in with the draft and letting veterans walk in free agency instead of steadily building a quality team from within. Moreno will fit Ken Whisenhunt’s rushing attack perfectly because he favors a back with motor that runs between the tackles over a home run hitter. If Moreno is gone I would expect Arizona to take Donald Brown or another RB.
Thanks for your time, good luck in the Draft.
