Boldin & Leinart staying put
At Saturday's Kurt Warner's charity flag football tournement Boldin was asked about his desire for a new contract and seemed to take the higher road this time around (maybe someone learned their lesson) by saying that he was just trying to enjoy the offseason and stay in shape. He seemed to be fine as well with his contract saying something to the effect of "being under contract" and playing for that contract.
When Leinart was asked about a possible trade he said matter of factly that he wants to remain a Cardinal and although he feels he is ready to play he will wait his turn. He knows heading into camp that the starting job is Warner's and that despite that he will go in and fight to compete and play.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Revenge of the Birds' (ROTB) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of ROTB's editors.

This is a good sign on the home front from two valuable players.

Is surely is. Maybe Leinart is just figuring out that he makes millions of dollars to do nothing.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

“To do nothing” measurable. He still has to work his ass off to be a back-up QB in the NFL. If the “old man” goes down I’m not worried about our back-up, a luxury many NFL teams cannot claim.

letting leinart wait another year under the tutelage of kurt warner will help (i hope). i still think he’s a semi decent QB.. although he might of been overhyped. but which usc QB hasn’t been?

Boldin & Leinart staying put
I don’t know if there is anything legal that can be done to sweeten up Q’s current situation – I don’t think there is.
However, I’d say Trade Leinart to the Jets or another AFC team; which will further buy down Cap for the Cardinals. In addition, pay just enough ( perhaps $3 Million? It would still be a good cash transaction in our favor ) to the Redskins to obtain Colt Brennan. He’s a pretty capable scrambler, an excellent passer with a respectable arm, makes very fine reads as a newbie, is already quite used to working a Pass Heavy offense, has a future, and as mentioned earlier very likely can be had for a song – I believe if that can be worked out, THAT would represent quite a fine potential profit/loss for the Cardinals.
Two years of Brennan working and watching Warner will be a useful education. The fresh Rookie sugar crumbs have already been slapped off of him . Anyway, that’s what I’d hope.

interesting idea
I’m sure Brennan could be had for a late round pick and he might be a decent predecessor to Warner considering he’s used to chunking the ball all over the place and very comfortable in the shotgun. I’m not sure that Whiz wants to run a mini-spread for his entire coaching career but who knows.
