Talks with Dansby to Pick up Later this Week
Talks with Karlos Dansby's agent and the Cardinals organization are expected to be started later this week. Arizona Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby was tagged as the teams' franchise player at the start of the off-season. The franchise tender counts towards $9.7 million, and if he is signed long-term, it's expected to free up a large chunk of salary cap room.

Fantastic to hear
I’ve been waiting for the front office to start moving on getting some deals worked out with Dansby, A-dub, and maybe restructure Rolle’s contract.
I don’t know how realistic it is, or even necessary, but maybe they can restructure a little bit of Warner’s and Fitz’s contracts to ensure that they have the money for Boldin.
At the end of this year they’re going to have to restructure Dockett’s contract.

Agree and disagree
They’ve got alot of contract work to do, but I think we can all forget about Warner or Fitz giving up money to get Boldin. Players always say that but it’s a PR move more than anything. They’re not going to freely give up money.
I would really like to see them lock up Dansby and A-dub long term. They’re both cornerstones of the defense and we’ll all rest easier by knowing they’ll be around for the next five years. Rolle’s an interesting case b/c the escalators in his rookie deal are starting to kick in. If the team is sure that he’s their future at FS then I could see them giving him a longer term deal but I wouldn’t be surprised if they wait till next off season.
