Gauging The Cardinals' Interest In Larry Johnson
Greetings from Arrowhead Pride.
There has been a lot of talk lately, among Chiefs fans, about Larry Johnson's future with the Chiefs. As some of us over at AP try to work out possible trade scenarios on draft day, estimating LJ's value becomes an important datum. A recent poll at AP has attempted to answer this question.
However, asking Chiefs fans about LJ's value is a bit like "get(ting) a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ass." So, instead, I've opted to ask the butcher himself and poll you guys on LJ's trade value. I intend on reporting the results of this poll over on AP.
I've selected the Cardinals because it seems you may have a real interest in garnering the services of a veteran back who still has some tread on the tires.
So, without further ado:
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Revenge of the Birds' (ROTB) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of ROTB's editors.

Carries
Always here about him complaining in KC about how he isn’t getting enough carries. He will most likely not like it here because he will be lucky to get 20 carries a game. I say keep the picks to add depth at other positions and let him go somewhere else.

I think we’re all burnt out on talking LJ, b/c we spent a couple days last week on him.
Thanks Bezekira,
I hadn’t turned that one up with my " ‘larry johnson’ AND ‘trade’ " search.
I've been rapping for about seveteen years okay? I don't write my stuff anymore I just kick it from my head you know what I'm sayin? I can do that. No disrespect but that's how I am.
I agree with Jason Whitlock
The Kansas City Star’s Jason Whitlock believes that Larry Johnson “has no trade value.”
The Chiefs will likely shop Johnson around before cutting him, but Whitlock would be surprised if they got “a jockstrap to be named later.” L.J.‘s release seems inevitable at this point. He’ll likely land in a committee elsewhere.
Enjoy the autographed jersey.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

How far north, Dan?
Just moved here in January, (still made it home for the playoff games!) I don’t watch enough tv to justify paying for satellite, so I will be looking for Sunday Ticket bars myself.

Not too far then
Hit me up on this site during the season & we can meet up for a game. I’m also planning a road trip down to Flag for training camp this summer.

No way should we take him
He is completely used up. I’ve watched about 10 Chiefs games the last two years at various parts of the season and even early in the season (think week 4) he is running slower and softer than any other Running Bach I can think of. Hes not going to have much of a career left for long. He is more used up than Stephen Davis when Davis singed with the Rams. And he was OVER used up. To put it nicely LJ runs like a 35 year old linemen with no power or skills.
