Take the Eagles out of the Anquan Boldin sweep stakes
The Eagles have acquired Jason Peters from the Bills for their 28th overall pick, fourth round pick and a pick in the 2010 draft, according to ESPN. Peters is a young (27) two time Pro Bowl left tackle who's been in a contract squabble with the Bills and he even held out of training camp and all four preseason games last year.
While it's not impossible for the Eagles to still deal for Boldin, they've got significantly less fire power now. They've still got an additional first round pick and their third round pick to meet the Cardinals bottom line but Peters wants to be the highest paid left tackle in the game and any trade for Boldin would require a new deal as well. I have a hard time seeing the Eagles pull both deals in a weeks time and pay out that much bonus money.

Philly has
enough cap space to take on both of them. I don’t know if they will still look at Boldin or not but it won’t be because of money, it will be because of what they are willing to give in value for Boldin. Their chances of landing him probably dropped a bit but I still see them making a push for him as WR is still a major need on that team. I still think it will be the Ravens that will end up getting him in the long run but don’t completely count out the Eagles. If they want to win now, trading for Boldin will certainly help their chances of making it back to the Super Bowl.
Good
Didn’t want to see him go there anyway. Hopefully good now as they might as well use their 1st round pick on a WR.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

If they won't trade for an established one then...
they probably won’t draft one. I still think they either go with RB or TE with the 21st pick.
What does this mean for the Bills draft pick also?
Do they take an O-Lineman now? I think they have to.

yea they're OL is decimated now
They lost Peters, Dockery and they’re center. They signed on guy but they need to pull two starters out of this draft.
if one falls
But i’d think they’ll have to either reach for the uconn tackle or Britton. they do draft guys whenever they want them, value be damned.
Will this set off the rest of the dominoes?
I think I’ll be paying extra close attention to the NFL today, I’m wondering if this move will be the first of a handful that could play out before the draft?
I would have been very surprised if the Cards were ever serious about moving Q to the NFC east. I’m still thinking an AFC team, and while I can’t see how it makes sense for them, cap wise, the Ravens seem to be the new front runner.
Boldin should stay
He’s at or near his peak and we have him signed for 2 ore years…. I say we keep him this year, make it back to the big game, win it, then trade him next year for picks. That’s how the Cards will become the next dynasty.
It could happen
