Pat White (QB), West Virginia
6'0", 197
White will not serve as pressure on Brady Quinn but instead a player that Mangini can use in gadget plays just like the guy he had with the Jets (Brad Smith). I expect that White will line-up more as a WR but will see some

snaps under center too. He reminds me a lot of Seneca Wallace: talented but not quite regular NFL starting QB talent...yet.Going out on a limb with him but...why not?
Positives: White is a phenomenal athlete with excellent speed, quickness and acceleration. He's elusive in the open field he's got versatility that teams will fall in love with. With a high football IQ and his proven leadership, White will find a way to get on the field whether it be as QB, WR, return specialist or some combination of the three.
Negatives: He lacks the size, arm strength and accuracy that teams look for in a NFL QB and durability is a huge concern. He doesn't have a true position and his only experience is at quarterback. He's extremely raw as a receiver and will have to learn to hold onto the ball better in the open field. Some even question his commitment to football because he won't completely close the book on his baseball career (he's been drafted three times).
Many thanks to Cardinal_Fang for submitting this pick. The Cowboys and hevchv are now on the clock with the Jets and RedBirdsRule on deck. If anyone needs to refresh their memory on the second round draft order, check here.
Also guys, we're in draft 'crunch time' right now with nearly twenty picks to cover in the next five days so we're going to be hitting these fast and furious. If you can, send a list of three players who you'd like to draft as your pick approaches so that we can stay ahead of the action and knock these picks out quickly.
