Bears fan here
First off, congrats on your superbowl apperance. You all have a great team. Anyways, this is yet another post about Boldin, and I apologize. I'm just curious. . . Suppose we offered you our second round pick(49th overall), our TE Desmond Clark, and WR Earl Bennett for Boldin. Do you think the Cardinals front office would accept the trade? I know we aren't one of the teams expected to land him, but Jerry Angelo has proven he does, in fact, have the balls to make a big trade. So, would you accept the offer?

I wouldn’t, and my reasoning is this. I don’t think a second is high enough for him, and even if we trade him, (which in spite of what else you may have been subjected to by the national media, probably won’t happen. Our GM Rod Graves and head coach Ken Whisenhunt have both stated that our first option is to get him signed to a new deal) we don’t need a WR to replace him. Steve Breaston would become our new #2, and that would open an opportunity for our third round pick last year, Early Doucet, to become our #3. So essentially that leaves a #2 and Clark, and while we’re hoping to upgrade the TE position it’s very possible that our current TE Ben Patrick could be poised for a break out year if he can stay healthy, and no disrespect intended but even if he doesn’t Clark for Boldin isn’t going to work.
Thanks for complimenting the Cardinals, based on their past history I don’t get to hear that very often.

Well said Long Beach. Chicago, Come with a 1st and a solid DL or ILB and we might listen but the players you listed are not players we need. PS. I do think Chicago is the favorite for your division this year. We may end up seeing each other in the post season as well as the regualr season- which is another reason I would be hesitant to trade to Chicago.

I agree with each of you.
I can’t believe all the Cardinals are asking for is a second-rounder. Pro Bowl wide recievers don’t just grow on trees.
