Are Da Cards the ultimate procrastinators?

Cards say they need to take care of Dansby & Wilson before really talking to Boldin, which I can understand to a point. But is it just me or does it seem like it always takes forever for da Cards to negotiate extensions and rookie contracts. It seems we always wait until the last week before some deadline or wait until the pick before and after us have rookie deals done before signing our guy. Why not get out there and set the price rather than react to what others have done?   Have we signed any of our draft picks? I mean how hard os it to predict what guys in the 4,5,6 rounds are going to get. Look at the Warner deal. If they had lost him to SF, I would have really been pissed.

So Dansby - From what I have read it appears that Dansby is willing to bet on himself and play under the Franchise tag for $9.7mil this year hoping to really cash in next year with a huge contract in the potentially uncapped year. Is that BS posturing or is he really willing to risk getting hurt and getting nothng beyond the 09 season? Obviously, he will really need to go all out this year to get $$$ next year so I'm not concerned about his performance or him holding out of training camp, but da Cards either need to resign him or move on to Wilson

Wilson - I have not really heard a word about what he wants or what the status of negotiations is. Which may actually be a good thing for both parties. I hope da cards don't jerk this guy around. Anybody know anything?

Boldin - So drew says < $10mil a year. $20 mill signing & $4.99mil a year for 4 more years plus $4mil in  some incentives is under $10mil in drew's book(I made this up, anybody know what Drew Actually asked for?). What a snake. I actually would like to keep Q, but the number needs to be $8mil per year including the incentives.

Dockett - complaining about K with 3 years left, sounds like Q last year doesn't it. Except he was not popular to start with and Q did not hold out of anyhting last year.

So I guess my ultimate question is, How many of you think da Cards drag thier feet way too much in getting deals done?
