Arizona Cardinals Sign Rookie Offensive Tackle Herman Johnson
Hat tip to El krem for breaking this news on ROTB.
The Arizona Cardinals signed their first drafted rookie yesterday, when Herman Johnson agreed to a three year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed but he's expected to receive minimum salaries of $305,000, $385,000 and $460,000 and his signing bonus is expected to be around $120,000. Johnson, formerly of LSU, played guard in college but so far during OTA's the Cardinals have been working him at right tackle. We recently looked at his future with the Cardinals and what we could expect from him this season.
Johnson is the first rookie to sign and this could be the first domino that falls as more rookies get locked up before training camp arrives. It's also worth remembering that the Cardinals will have to cut several players before they can sign all of their draft picks so keep an eye on that at the signings are announced. Who do you think will get signed next? Who are the first guys to get cut?

The Magical 5th Round Pick
Johnson follows in the footsteps of below-the-radar 5th round picks who made good – i.e. Steve Breaston (2 years ago) and Tim Hightower (last year).
Big shoes to follow, dude. Then again, your shoe size (or the rest of you) ain’t exactly tiny.
CHICKEN LITTLE WAS RIGHT!

lets go with Rashad Johnson next
and cutting Francisco because hes horrible! I just dont like the guy thats why hes my pick to get cut. Then again Dennis Keys or Matt Ware might get cut, they’re not much better if better than Cisco

Keyes is my darkhorse defensive guy to make the squad
so hopefully he makes it at least to training camp.

I'll put money on Chris Vincent being the first guy cut.
I have no idea why this guy keeps getting brought back.

I think he's a good scout player.
He probably can immulate opposing RBs and give good looks. Not to say he’s as good as them, but it gives the D a “real” practice.

I just want to go on the record...
It is absolutely ridiculous that our recent 5th round pick isn’t nicknamed Herman “Munster” Johnson.

From his wiki;
In the episode “Herman’s Lawsuit,” his driver’s license gives his weight as 380 (lbs.)
He’s a dead ringer!

Thanks for the support...
…whether you are +ing Herman Munster’s general awesomeness, my nickname being cool, or “Munster” being a good nickname for Mr. Johnson.
Please refer to him as Herman Munster whenever possible
