As reported, Adrian Wilson has signed a 5 year extension that will keep him with the Cardinals through the 2013 season.  KTAR's John Gambadora reports that the guaranteed money is just under $20 million.  Obviously the signing is great for the Cardinals, as it keeps there best Defensive Player with the team in the prime of his career. 

But, it sends a message to both the players and fans of the team.  If you shut your mouth and play football, you will get rewarded.  Adrian was the consummate professional through out the whole process and deserved every penny he got.  He also deserves our admiration as fans, for how he went about his business.  It let's the players now that regardless of how things worked in the past,  the organization is working to keep its core players.  They have been working to extend Karlos Dansby and have gotten both Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald done.  So to Darnell Docket and Anquan Boldin take a page out of Adrian's book.  Shut up and play!
