Why, from this point on, you don't listen to Brian Baldinger.

Baldinger: Offense will change

The Cardinals will be fine on defense. Pendergast is a talented coordinator, and he had survived a couple of coaching changes in Arizona, so the team had continuity on defense throughout those changes.

Offensively, while I like Russ Grim, and the Cardinals will run the ball more frequently and effectively, I think they'll lose a little on that side of the ball. They'll lose some in the passing game. Haley was very tough on players.

You saw his toughness on the sidelines in the playoffs. He called some very good games. I think they'll be different on offense, and I'm not sure the passing game will be as elite without the play calling of Haley, who learned a lot from Bill Parcells on how to handle QBs. I think the Cardinals will miss something without Haley.

The Cardinals put it together in the playoffs last year, and had a terrific NFC Championship Game against the Eagles. I think to get to the Super Bowl again is a real stretch for this team. They almost caught lightning in a bottle during the playoffs last season. That's tough to expect again this year.

Now, when you read this post, try to spot what is wrong....

Correct, Pendergast no longer is with the Cardinals. This happened basically the same day Haley went to KC. lol
