Lombardi on the Cards Off-Season
Interesting set of checklists from Mike Lombardi on the National Football Post on how the Cards can overcome the Super Bowl curse. He makes it very specific so it's not a throwaway article as some can be.

I personally don't believe the curse.
A lot of luck goes into making it to a championship game in any sport. It’s hard to replicate it, but considering our division I think we have a chance.

I don't either
But looking at this as a very personalized checklist of what the Cards should do is where the value lies in this, IMO.

I agree
I was commenting more in general than with regards to this specific article. We’ve been hearing about the curse since the day we lost the Super Bowl. I’m just kind of fed up with it.

Don't be fooled by the Caption
One of the most insightful pieces of the off-season., but the principles behind it could apply to any NFL team; not just a Super Bowl runner up.
Specifics pertaining to the Cardinal were pretty-much dead-on, although I don’t agree with Lombardi’s comments lumping Branch, Watson and Campell into one underperforming category. (Campbell played his butt off both as a rotational D-lineman and on special teams. Watson played as well as could be expected coming off a freak knee injury. The only one of the three who could legitimately be accused of underperforming might be Branch, (If, however, Lombardi was merely pointing out that – commitment & effort aside – each of the three players must come through & produce for the Cardinals in 2009-10.

Completely agree. I have no idea how you lump Campbell into an underachieving group. I’d also question his mentioning Watson in there as well. The guy was really hurting last year.
Other than that though it was a quality article. I wish he’d have expounded upon his opinion to replace Gandy though. I wonder if he thinks there is someone on this roster who can do better or if he’s just saying that eventually he’ll need to be replaced.

You're right
I changed the title to reflect that.
I do think it might be more about how the three need to produce for the Cards.
