I'm not a Leinart apologist, and he still might be a bust, but improvement is nice to see.

Leinart

I agree that he looks a lot better than in recent years but one thing reallllly bothers me about him. He has a nasty tendency to lead his receivers into big hits across the middle as evidenced by the Packer game. He rarely throws to the outside and if he gets Fitz crushed like he did Urban or LSH there will be a full on riot in Glendale.

true

I thought the same thing and didnt know if I was being too picky or if he still needs to learn to protect his receivers better. I think that is something Warner does farily well (minus the NYJ game) so maybe he will learn it.

My real concern is he doesnt have much zip on the ball still (at least in my eyes). There were several passes that could have gained us an extra 5 yards had he put more zip on it instead of just throwing it. I dont know if its the fact that he CANT throw it hard, doesnt have confidence in his accuracy when he real puts some zip on it, or if he needs to continue to work on his mechanics. He seems to have a TINY bit more zip than last year though, and I emphasize tiny. It was never so apparent than Michael Vicks first pass coming back. I dont know who it was too but it was thrown on a rope and I thought to myself Warner cant throw that hard and Leinart looks like a girl compared to that. Dont get me wrong I am excited to see matty playing as well as he is and i still think he can become a realiable starter. Just curious as to what you guys think.

wow, that's probably the most glowing review I've read about Leinart in probably three years

He’s come a long way in the past year and I think his time is closer than we all think (or at least closer than the national media thinks).

I was amazed by how he played during the second half. It reminded me of when he was at USC to be honest.
