RotB Pick'em: Week 2 Results & Week 3 Picks

The second week of the '09 NFL season proved to be as exciting a week of football as any with the Cardinals winning on the East Coast, the Bears upsetting the Steelers, the Giants sneaking past the Cowboys, and the Colts proving little time is needed to win a game. Week 2 mixed things up in the RotB Pick'em League Standings and shows how the tie-breakers will affect the standings.

Eleven users shared Weeks Won Points (0.09) in Week 2 with a 6-2 record. HEVCHV won Week 2 with a 7-1 record, only missing the Pittsburgh pick (didn't we all except for Thomaldo) and upon further review didn't pick Dallas as I had on my spreadsheet. Congrats Heavy and BOOOO on my transcribing skills. Remember that the full eight games need to be predicted to qualify for that week and your predictions need to be in before the given kick-off times. Hey, I was stationed in Balad, Mosul and Baghdad.
Where are you stationed? My screen pic is of a 7-11 we built (well not me personally) to make us feel more at home up in Mosul back in ’03.

I bummed that I’m out of the survivor pool. But I can still play here.
Minn (pure rooting interest here)
New JERSEY Jets (they are not a NY team)
New England (tough game but home team should win)
Wash (i have Clinton Portis on my fantasy team)
Chicago (rooting interest mostly—Hasselback out should make the difference)
SD (after Miami’s loss last night—there’s no reason to pick them)
CARDS—(doesn’t matter who they’re playing—I wont ever pick against them—this should be a shootout—41—27 win)
Carolina—(I hate Dallas and would just love to see them lose—carolina has to win sometime—why not now?)

Week 3 Picks
Minnesota- The Niners are not going to stop AP and Favre.
Tennessee - I don’t know who wins from this one. I am sure I’ll flip this later.
New England – They will bounce back from a tough loss to the Jets with a win at home.
Detroit – If the Redskins could not score on the Rams they won’t score on the Lions.
Chicago - No Hasselback means not good for Seattle.
San Diego – Miami will not stop the San Diego offense.
Arizona - This will be a tough game for both teams but I think the Cards can pull this one off.
Dallas - They got embarrassed by the Giants last Sunday and they will be looking to get some respect back in week 3.

TEN – Potential hang over effect here from putting so much effort into the Pats game. It’ll be interesting to see if Rex Ryan can get his team fired up like that once more, or else Ten picks up their first W of the year here.
NE – Atlanta’s D will be no match for Brady.
DET – I don’t think Zorn/Campbell could be any more inconsistent if they wanted to.
CHI – No Hasselbeck? No shot.
SD – Potential “upset” alert, but I just dont think the Dolphins are good enough to beat SD.
ARI – I learned not to pick against them this past week.
DAL – Cuz Delhomme. Otherwise, Carolina would have a definite shot here.
