Why I'm not that worried
Alright, so the Cardinals are 1-2 after 3 games, the two home losses have been horrendous and our one win was against a mediocre Jacksonville team. However...
No significant injuries have taken place. Ya, Kurt got pretty banged up against the Colts but he has a bye to recover.
We still play in a relatively poor division. The Rams are worthless, the 'Hawks are banged up again, and have nothing going for them on offense, especially without Hasselbeck.
As for the 49ers, yes, they seem impressive on the surface, but they beat us when we were at less than full strength, and their only other win was against a Seahawks team led by unprepared Seneca Wallace. Singletary, as expected, ran a tough as nails camp which will pay dividends to them in the early part of the season. But an NFL season is a marathon, and I find it difficult to believe that they will be able to stay as fresh down the stretch as they are now (we've all seen how beneficial rest can be to players i.e. Edgerrin James in the post-season).
Our line does look absolutely terrible, most notably against the Colts, but their ends we're going for blood knowing we had to pass it almost every down to get back in the game. That won't be the situation every game.
There's been a lot of talk about not playing Beanie. I'm not concerned because he missed most of the pre-season with the ankle. Also, Whiz is known for not playing his rookies early in the year. Whiz didn't start DRC till midway through the year even with Eric Green back there (so glad he's gone). Beanie will get his shot as the year goes on.
Lastly, I'm not in panic mode yet. We got down early to the Colts, and Manning tends to embarrass you when you let that happen. We we're banged up on offense against San Fran, but we'll get a second shot on Monday Night, and you know that will be a tough game like always. The season is young, we have a bye coming up, so hopefully we can figure some things out, and start playing up to our talent level.

Agreed.
It is concerning but we have the bye at the perfect time and then the Texans come to town. I’ll be at that game and I hope to see our first home win and we may go 2-2 at that point. Let’s hope the Rams take care of business in San Fran this Sunday. haha thats a longshot.
Hey, hey, hey hey hey, watch the language, ok? I have a family.

Also agreed
I think all the problems we have been having are fixable. The O-Line has been bad at time so far this season but if they taught us anything last season is they can be pretty good. that goes for the rest of the team also. They have at times played bad but we all know what they are capable of. They just need to fix the problem of being inconsistent. We fix that we’re one of the top teams in the league.
This next game though, we need to come out and play well. Cannot do what we did against the Niners and Colts. They have to some out and show not only the fans but themselves that they are better than what they have shown so far this season. They also need to come out and not start the season 0-3 at home.
Nice post by the way.

I have lowered my expectations :-(((
I guess it also depends on what your expepcations preseason were. I was hoping (and still am) that this is a 10 win team in ’09. Two dismal performances at home has me revising my hopes to an 8-8 team. I went to both games and frankly the offense has look lost and confused, pretty much the entire time in both home games. Lots of hands thrown in the air and questioning looks between QB and receivers both on the field and on the sideline. The offense is not all on the same page.
I don’t know that worried is the right term for where I am, but I’m disappointed in the offense and the play calling thus far and am more likely to beleive the team I have seen twice at home is the ’09 cards rather than the team that won one road game or that played in the playoffs last year.

Not time to panic ... yet
But there are several red flags
our guys need to forget about last year and become a team

A win over Houston...
Winning changes perspective. I think you hit all the main points why it isn’t time to jump ship. I’d add one more. I figured the Cards would be 2-2, with a 9-7 final record. A win over Houston and we are right where I figured we would be at this point. Lose to Houston well then…

Way too early to panic
I agree it’s not time to panic. We have a lot of talent on this team – both sides of the ball. In my humble opinion, a lot of our problems are due to coaching changes. We lost both coordinators and the guys seemed to be confused about their routes, blocking assignments and coverage responsibilities. Especially against Indi. I think we are on a learning curve right now. Any game we avoid turnovers, we should win. I don’t care who the opponet is.
