Thank you Cardinals fans
I did not get a chance to post this yesterday mainly because all of us were hoping that your left tackle had NOT knocked our best player on defense out for the year. Thankfully, he didn't (Dwight Freeney will miss 2-3 weeks with a quad injury), and thankfully (it seems) no one else got seriously hurt.
Just wanted to stop in and say thank you for being good fans and asking great questions for shake n bake. I also want to thank Andrew602 and Hawkwind for interviewing me and asking me great questions. I apologize for having some trolls take over the chat and try to ruin what started as a great football discussion. Sometimes, my "in your face" answers to questions bring out the worst in some people, and in myself. However, I hope last Sunday night's performance gives you an understanding as to why I said the notion that Peyton struggles against 3-4 defenses was "horsesh*t." Ever since Peyton was drafted, it has been a consistent and eternal fight by us Colts fans to squash much of the inaccurate information thrown out there on Peyton Manning.
He can't "win the big one."
He can't "win in Florida."
He can't "beat the Dolphins."
He can't "beat the Patriots."
He can't "win in bad weather."
He can't "beat 3-4 defenses."
After 11 years of work proving all those statements dead stinking wrong, I hope you sympathize with us when we react to generalized statements about Peyton Manning.
I still think RotB has the best site logo and design of any site in all of SB Nation. I am also impressed with the content by Hawkwind and Andrew602, and with the community you all keep going strong. Best of luck the rest of the season, and here's hoping we get to meet again in the 2009 season.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Revenge of the Birds' (ROTB) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of ROTB's editors.
