Cardinals vs Packers: 2nd Half Thread

Okay I'm a little late but I'm trying to focus on the game. The Cardinals are now up 31-17 after just giving up a touchdown to Greg Jennings. Luckily the offense hasn't shown any signs of slowing down so hopefully the Cardinals can keep up this pace for another  quarter in a half. Some thoughts:

- Kurt Warner looks amazing just as he has  in every postseason game he's played

- Early Doucet is filling in great for Anquan Boldin with 2 TDs

- Michael Adams looks terrible, don't know what else to say about him

- And as we speak the Packers just recovered a onside kick. Great.

these guys are going for the INT too much

2 big plays now because the DBs went for the INT instead of the tackle…

yeah but momentum is a tricky thing to guess

although i’m just used to the Cards D, which usually plays really well when the offense plays well and not so well when the offense doesn’t play well. hopefully the packers are just gonna be bad throughout

Rackers proved to be a huge dissapointment!

We now know you can’t rely on him when the game is on the line.

+1

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

for some reason I feel he would have hit it if it was longer… the easiness of that kick prolly choked him up

The Bengals missed two kicks yesterday.

Its just fitting that a former Bengal would blow the kick like that.

Good luck next week

from a Giants fan. I was gonna be rooting for whoever won that game to get to the Super Bowl, b/c I have reasons to dislike the other 3 teams. You guys gave us neutral fans an epic game (third time in a row the Cards have done that in the playoffs now), so here’s hoping you give us a few more on your way to Miami!

Also, if Kurt Warner doesn’t make the Hall of Fame I will protest the NFL. That guy is incredible – and to think I thought he was done when we benched him for Manning!

I know I'm late.

But this is the best game I have ever seen.

one of the best playoff games of all time !

He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is

Rich Eisen just said

“the 1st play of the game was an interception. The last play of the gae was a defensive touchdown. In bewtween…there was 1000 yards of offense.”

Fitting that we won on a Rodgers turn over.

Since Aikman wanted to convince the world that Rodgers was solely responsible for the Packers being in the game.

by hadrarius on Jan 10, 2010 6:16 PM MST reply actions

62 1st downs

1000 yards of offense

9 passing TDs

96 total points

I bet those are all close to records

He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is

now--what I want to hear is--

“the Cards have no chance to beat the Saints”

by Cuckoo for Coco Puffs on Jan 10, 2010 6:18 PM MST reply actions

lol

always best for Cards to be “underdogs”

He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is

you’ll definitely hear…. but man we got some issues to work out on D in order stop the Saints. It seemed like they put no pressure on Rodgers the entire 2nd half, and finally started to in OT.

by edbro on Jan 10, 2010 6:19 PM MST up reply actions

I hope everyone picks the Saints

Just like they all picked the Pack. Our team loves playing with that chip on their shoulder!

We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!

Congrats birds

Steeler fan here. Good nail biting game. Way to hang and close out the game.

oh. wow. gah.

my heart exploded, I had to go to the hospital to fix it.

Someone called me from chile (the country) on the last play of the game to ask if I could pick em up from the phoenix aiport. All they got in the ear was “YEAAAHHH OHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AHAHAGIAHSIDHAISDHASGHFJAHFSJ”
