RotB Playoff Pick'em: Divisional Round

What a wild and crazy Wild Card Weekend. Okay, what a wild and crazy last game of the '09 Wild Card Weekend as frankly the first three games were yawners for the most part. Saturday's déjà vu spectacular saw the Jets and Cowboys repeating their Week 17 victories over the Bengals and Eagles, respectively. DaCards and StuckinColorado nailed their Jets predictions and earned the full 60 point Pick'em Point payoff. DaCards was also the closest to the Cowboys' final score and earned 41 Pick'em Points. Many participants picked the Ravens to win with a much lower score but kj197728 was the closest and earned 40 Pick'em Points. With our Cards having a wild finish to the weekend most folks that picked the Cards were still way off on their final score; Andrew602, Jessesb, and RottPhiler had a predicted score of 31-28 which was the best Pick'em Points value of 13 (Cards' score was 20 points off and Packers were 17 points off — 50 - 37 = 13).

If your username is in the table found after the jump, you're in the running for the Playoff Pick'em payoff. Remember that you need to pick a winner and predict a final score (not total points). Picks need to be in before the Cardinals/Saints kick-off on Saturday to be valid. Miss a week and you're out of the running. With another four games this week there should be plenty of opportunities to make up ground or lose it. Good luck!

Colts/Ravens – Ravens 27-23: I was going to go with the Colts, but they always lose early for some reason, and I don’t think that Manning can beat the Ravens Defense when he hasn’t really played for 3 or 4 weeks.

Chargers/Jets – Jets 23-17: Great offense against great defense, going with Revis and the Jets.

Vikings/Cowboys – Vikings 31-23: Romo will go back into his slump.

Cardinals/Saints – Cardinals 43-38: I honestly see this one going over 100 points.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan.

I can't stand band-wagoner fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad.

All or nothing for the Playoff Pick'em, Cuckoo

As it’s a cumulative scoring system, if you miss a week you’re out. Granted, starting now with a score of zero would have you ahead of a couple players. :P

Look for the Draft Pick’em in April. Hopefully I won’t be in Mexico at that point to run it.

Uninspired predictions

Last week I had some inklings, not so this time around:

Saints 38-35: Missed chip shot FG to send the game into OT and Boogatt66 is arrested for assassinating Neil O’Rackers on his return to Arizona.
Colts 18-15: Field goal circle jerk once more as that’s how most Colts/Ravens games go.
Vikings 28-24: Vikes constant pressure eventually causes Romo to self-destruct and tosses pick-six to lose game.
Chargers 24-21: Kaeding actually makes a winning FG for once.
