Do tell...
The only thing worse than losing is not winning.

Here's something that's also interesting.
This was posted five hours ago and there are only three posts.
Your team went to the Superbowl last year and this is all that turns out? Ya’ll don’t know what fantaticism is. You’re obviously all too busy eating bean sprouts and watching UFOs. You don’t know what it means to support a team or what a winning football team means to a city.
We, in New Orleans, have been waiting for this for a long, long, long time. The Lombardi is ours. You are just a stepping stone to that inevitable conclusion.
The only thing worse than losing is not winning.

it's funny/sad
how you connect fanaticism for an NFL team with people sitting on a computer posting on fan posts about pointless, symbolic signings of losers who play (used to play) for teams I, and probably 99% of the people on Revenge of the Birds, don’t care about.
yeah..
.. I hear your stadium is always full, too. NOT!
You’re calling Deuce McCallister a loser?
Just think how stupid this comment is going to sound come Sunday.
The only thing worse than losing is not winning.

First of all
…are you sure it’s a symbolic signing? More to the point…is Whisenhunt sure?
And secondly, do you know what the symbolism means, in practical terms? It means a Saints team that is going to be flying around like they did in that epic against Atlanta in 2006 (look it up if you don’t remember). It means an extra 15 decibels on top of the usual ear-crushing din of the Superdome. It means the only safe place to be a Cardinal will be on the plane headed home.
BURN THE BLACK PANTS!!!
deuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce
I dont care if he plays a down he’s is a leader of our team
He is with out a doubt on the same pedastal as Archie to many fans and team mates
With him leading our team out on the field the visiting Cardes fans will regret stepping into the dome with out nasa quality ear protection
And his inspiration on the sideline will no doubt have an impact on our players most who were his team mates last year

Banter and jesting between the fans of two competing teams is fine, but...
Please don’t resort to calling players “losers.” Especially individuals who mean so much to the fans and organization.
You’ll never know what Deuce McAllister means to New Orleans and the rabid Saints fans that support its players and prospects (or lack thereof), through thick and thin.
Deuce was one of the last of a dying breed of punishing, every-down backs. The playing careers of such individuals are often small in comparison to hybrid backs such as Westbrook, because their bodies take such punishment, day in and day out.
Deuce’s rise and fall as an elite, franchise running back was meteoric. We can all be honest and admit his best days are behind him, but please, I implore you, don’t dare patronize fans who genuinely love and respect Deuce for the hero that he is. Without his leadership throughout all those years of futility, there would have been one less bright star amid the blackhole of suck that New Orleans football used to emulate.
Thanks.

Fair enough I respect your post, but please keep in mind you are at RotB and not CanalStreetChronicles. It is not a nice thing to write, but at the same time he didn’t go onto the Saints blog and shove it in every Saints fans face. Remember, you CHOSE to come here and read the comments. I’m not saying you shouldn’t read the comments over here because I certainly read comments from the opposing team as well. All I suggest is that you take every comment with a grain of salt. I sure as hell don’t like some comments over at the Saints blog but I don’t complain about them, and some of them are just down right silly, see the Game Predictions thread for example.
What's silly about it?
Just because we predict the Saints win? I’m sure y’all are equally convinced the Cards will win.
Or is it the predictions themselves? Bear in mind everyone is trying to come up with something different. That’s how some of them get to be outlandish. Others are simply jokes…like predicting Deuce will score 26 touchdowns.
I’ll make another prediction here: no matter who comes out on top tomorrow, this game is going to be a scorched earth campaign fought by both sides. By the end, the turf will be smoking.
BURN THE BLACK PANTS!!!
Amen
They are who we thought they were!

I’m sorry I didn’t mean that thread, I realize Saints fans will predict that their team is going to win as would Cardinal fans if we created the same topic here. I actually meant one of the fanposts (http://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/2010/1/15/1252879/i-stand-by-my-early-predictions) where the creator wrote “I don’t wish anything harmful to Kurt Warner, I like him, but he’s already had one concussion. I think it’s time for another.” That last sentence is pretty low, and just because he wrote “I don’t wish anything harmful to Kurt Warner” doesn’t make it alright. Like I said no reason to get huffy puffy but I think that is worse than calling someone a “loser”, but like I said earlier, it is on the Saints blog so I could care less about what he wrote.
The game prediction thread is one of the coolest on our site
There are some outrages things on there but its been like that all year and fun
You should go and post your predictions on it no one will call you names or give you much of a hard time
Actually it’s even funner when opposing fans post there predictions on it so i would like to see ever Cards fgan do it

Deuce
isn’t even going to play for New Orleans on Saturday. He is only going to lead the team onto the field.
http://www.footballnewsnow.com/2010/deuce-mcallister-will-not-play-for-saints-vs-cardinals/
I read something along those lines a few times, and that is why I don’t understand what the huge fuss is about. Maybe you need to be Saints fan to understand the importance, I don’t know.
Look at it like this
What if the last couple of years of barry sanders the lions started signing good players
And the year after barry leaves they have the kind of season we are having and all the lion fans thought barry deserved to be part of it because he was the whole team for sooo long.
He played with class and never complained he always treated his teammates his coaches and his fans with respect
Then the day before the lions make it to the playoffs they announce they have re-signed him
Well deuce is our barry sanders

No disrespect to Deuce McCallister
I’d say the same thing about Mother Teresa if she were signing with the next team the Cardinals play (who coincidentally is in the running for sainthood). I was just pointing out that Cardinals fans don’t care enough about the subject to post on in numbers “TigerNut” would deem as a loving fanbase. Good luck on Saturday, I’m sure you’re as stoked as I am. Go Cards! Btw, we’ve sold out all 43 games that’ve been played at the new stadium so I don’t know what you’re talking about.

All you have accomplished in this is making saints fans look like A-holes
Don’t come over here and question our loyalty to our team. New Orleans has great fans as do the Cardinals. We both have great teams that have struggled for a very long time. Its going to be a GREAT game. All i hope is whoever wins goes on to win the Superbowl. Try and be a bit more respectful especially when coming over to our site, you are making me change what i think about New Orleans fans. Oh and by the way, We sell out almost every game just like most other teams. Best of luck and GO CARDINALS!
Arizona Sports (minus) UofA wildcats = Love!
+1
What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.
Revenge of the Birds
Does this mean we're not re-signing Edge?
I was looking forward to my Edge jersey being relevant again…
We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!
I'd rather resign Jake the Snake than Edge......
And Saints fans, I have a lot of respect for Drew Brees and I do like the Saints, but please don’t come here and insult us. I know not all of you are doing it, but lets show some respect here.
Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan.
I can't stand band-wagoner fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad.
