Who Would You Take From The Green Bay Packers?
It's been a while since we've started our selection segment - you know, the one where we pick which players we'd take from the opposing team? In all honesty, there weren't many I'd select from both the Lions and the Rams so I decided to put this one on hold till now. The Green Bay Packers are a team that's loaded with play makers and players the Cardinals could certainly use. It can be a young or older player, a starter or a back up, etc. You can also take their current contract status into consideration, as if we were actually signing the player. Also look at who may be leaving our team after this season. Here are some of my picks.
Aaron Rodgers, QB: It may come as a surprise at first but when you look at the overall picture, it's easy to understand. With Kurt Warner possibly retiring after this season, and the question marks that surround Matt Leinart, the Cardinals would leap at the chance for Rodgers. He's already developed into one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in just two seasons as a starter. He's smart, can move with his legs, accurate, and can throw the deep ball. He's still young and pairing him with the receivers we already have on offense would prove to be one of the deadliest offenses in the league - easy pick.
Clay Matthews, LB: The second of the long, blond-haired linebackers is only in his rookie year and has improved the linebacking group of the Packers. He has a high motor, and never seems to give up on a play regardless of the situation. Matthews would bring solid tackling, and an added blitz-er to the defense. He does need to polish some areas of his game but in the long run, he'd develop into a star.
Charles Woodson, CB: Although Woodson is 33 years of age, he's shown no signs of slowing down. Since he's been in Green Bay he's been one of the standout corners in the league and has shown why he was so touted coming out of college. The best way to describe Woodson, is that he's a play maker. He's a shutdown corner, a solid tackler, and has a knack for getting to the ball. He and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie would be a formidable tandem for the Cardinals defense.
Other picks to consider:Mark Tauscher, T, B.J. Raji, DT, A.J. Hawk, LB
Obviously we'll get to know these players and others the next two weeks since we should be meeting the Packers this week and in the first round of the playoffs. Those are just my picks - who would you take from the Packers? Who did I miss?

Is either of them that great?
How has Kampman been so far this year?
What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.
Revenge of the Birds
Finley
is a budding star, and has shown Pro Bowl flashes this year. Honestly I have no idea how well he blocks though, but athletically and receiver-ly, he has huge upside.
I dunno that Kampman has had that fantastic of a year but he has a high motor also and I have loved what I have seen from him in the past

Kampman was lost to injury
he’s a great player that really could have helped the Packers. Pro-Bowler.

Insomniac Pack fan; hullo!
Finley’s been incredible at the short end of the field this year; especially handy seeing as our usual go-to receivers have suffered from crisp-packet hands this season. He’s one of our little secrets so kindly stop discussing him you guys…
And yeah, Rodgers certainly looks like the real deal. Starting a new QB is always a lotttery; consider the majority of Packers fans very grateful it was our luck to have someone so talented follow The Chosen One (TM ESPN).
I'd go with one of the Linebackers
Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan.
I can't stand band-wagoner fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad.
BJ Raji
A young, big, powerful and motivated zero technique to anchore Billy Davis’s 34 defense for years to come. Raji also has the quickness to slide outside to the three technique and rush the passer off the edge if required. A versatile future Pro Bowl player. If I could not have Raji then Clay Matthews Jr. He looks like a natural pass-rusher with the ability to a be a complete backer.
+1
If our defense had a potentially dominating NT everything else falls into place almost immediately.
Who I'd take from the Packers
One other player you missed that has dominated the Defensive Line this year is Johnny Jolly. Despite his off field problems, which should come to a close soon, he’s been the solid rock, run stopping DE that has helped the Packers ‘D’ get to the number one spot. Also for consideration: Finley, Jennings, Nelson.
