Bye Week Gamethread

The Cardinals may be off this week, but there will still be some games going on this weekend.

So, lets discuss some of the games that are going on today in here. I'm guessing that most of us will be keeping an eye on the rest of the NFC West, the Seahawks play against the Bears in Soldier Field, the Chargers visit the Rams, and the Raiders will visit the 49ers.

Enjoy the games, and lets hope that the rest of the NFC West loses.

I have a wedding to go to

At least my buddy was kind enough to schedule his wedding for the Cardinals bye week. Enjoy the games everyone, see you in AZ for Halloween against the Bucs!

We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!

Seattle leading 14-13 at the half

St. Louis is blowing out the Chargers 17-3 at the half.

The way it’s looking, we really, really need to beat Seattle next week.

Now we really, really, really need to win next week

San Diego, way to dominate us but then play terribly against, of all teams, the Rams.

Chicago, way to defensively play great against other teams, but then go up against the Seahawks and do terrible.

Now the only thing I can hope for is the 49ers losing. But at the moment, the Rams and Seahawks are looking like bigger threats. We really need to win next week.

Devin Hester is ridiculous again

It’s amazing how many rookie QB’s are now starters. At the beginning of the season, it was only Sam Bradford. But now it’s:

Max Hall
Sam Bradford
Jimmy Clausen
Colt McCoy
Tim Tebow

Who’s next?

I know this doesn't have to do with football

But it would be awesome if you could all go to this link:

http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/mlb/awards/y2010/tyib/index.jsp

And vote for Daniel Hudson as Rookie of the Year. Also, vote for Edwin Jackson for Performance of the Year.

They’re pitchers for the Dbacks. Even if you’re not a baseball fan, it would be great for the whole Phoenix sports thing. So, check it out, and vote for them!

My bad

Edwin Jackson is an ex-pitcher for the Dbacks. He got traded this season, but the nomination he received is for his performance on June 25, when he was still a Dback. He threw a no-hitter that day against the Tampa Bay Rays.

They have the bar on the left hand side showing the next 5 or 6 upcoming topics and at one point I turn it there and the whole bar is full of Cowboy topics regarding their loss. Who gives a crap about a bad 1-4 team? Big surprise with Deon Sanders and Michael Irving hosting.

Shoot

This has to be the worst day of the season for us. Of course, great for the NFC West and all, but…

If the 49ers win, then all their fans will start to talk about how they’re going to the playoffs.

by Skii on Oct 17, 2010 4:52 PM MDT up reply actions

The only way the Raiders can really win

Is to manage to get the ball back, score a quick TD, and then take a chance and go for the two point conversion. Then, they have to try to win it in overtime.

by Skii on Oct 17, 2010 5:01 PM MDT reply actions

Interception by the 49ers

Game over. Unless the Raiders can sack Alex Smith, get him to fumble, take the fumble all the way back for a TD, make the two point conversion, then make an amazing 50 yard Field Goal in overtime.

Yeah. That’ll happen.

by Skii on Oct 17, 2010 5:04 PM MDT reply actions

That was a crazy end for the Cowboys.

Almost thought they were going to pull it out. Never seen that many laterals on one play.

49ers win, Seahawks win, Rams win

Damn You Kansas City!

5 and 1 in my picks so far this week. If only KC hadn’t given up 3 TDs in the 4th Qtr.

by hadrarius on Oct 17, 2010 5:14 PM MDT reply actions

Well, that about wraps up this week

Only two more games left, Colts-Redskins, and then the Monday Night Football of Titans-Jaguars.

Which means I’m about done here. So, good week for the NFC West because the 49ers, Seahawks, and Rams won, not so good week for us because the 49ers, Seahawks, and Rams won, so basically, we need to practice hard this week, rest up good, and come out strong next week to beat the Seahawks.

Go Cards, and go Maximum Hall!
