Max Hall named Starting Quarterback
Per Urban: "The Cardinals are just getting practice started today to begin the week right now, and while coach Ken Whisenhunt is expected to formally announce his starting quarterback publicly after practice, a source has told azcardinals.com it will be rookie Max Hall who will be taking first-team snaps today and will lead the team against the Saints Sunday."

thats good.
i hope that this will give the team a bit of a spark. and so much for those swagtangables that amounted to nothing.
Hall has swagtangibles too.

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team(s), throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.
Wow, I shouldnt be surprised but......
it’s amazing that our season is now in the hands of an undrafted rookie.
The crazy thing is that with this division we still have a chance to get into the playoffs.
Time to take it to the Max!!! Max Hall!!

He worked with Komar and Williams a lot in the Preseason too so that should help him out.

Wow!
We’ve gone from a future Hall of Famer to an undrafted rookie in 5 games. He can’t be as bad as DA. You go kid. We’ve got your back.
I’m not expecting miracles out of him, but at least Max still has an upside. Plus this gives us fans something extra to get excited about. I like it!
I was wondering, "Why is that Frisbee getting bigger" and then it hit me.

In Whiz we Trust. LOL
Undraft rookie is better than Leinart.? What a farce!!!
I'd take
An unproven Max Hall over a proven bust.
by Jesse Reynolds on Oct 6, 2010 2:59 PM MDT up reply actions
how can he be proven bust
he has not taken the field this year. he lost at Ten last year because the defense gave up 99 yards with less than two minutes to go and two fourth down conversion. At least he knows the system. Hall is no Sam Bradford. He is the QB of the BYU system.
ML couldn't beat out DA
What more proof does there need to be?
If you make the argument about “Whiz’s ego,” delete your account. Whiz cares about winning, nothing else.

Leinart didnt lose his job on skill, even a 99 year old lady could see that
he lost it because he proved he didn’t have the necessary leadership skills with his reaction to DA starting the 3rd preseason game.
He’s a very capable athlete, maybe if you had been a fan before the 2008 postseason, you would know this.

I've been a fan since 2003
I have seen it. I was touting his rookie stats, posting videos and drinking his cool aid like it was Crack Water. Check back.
Please, be more condescending.

Pray for this kid.
Dear lord please protect this innocent kid from the sieve that is our offensive line against the dirty south defense that ended the career of our last great quarterback. Max Hall and the Max Hall Experience in full effect now. If he survives……
Watching SportsNation on ESPN right now
Cowherd just said that he liked Hall a lot in college and he thinks Hall can be good in the NFL. He isn’t exactly a Cards fan either so nice to hear that from him.

I think this is a terrible move
Because I rather have DA get mauled behind that line than a prospect who might turn into Trent Edwards or David Carr after taking a massive beating.
well...
Trent nor Carr were able to overcome the beatings and push through to the other side. If they had enough moxy they may have been able to navigate through those rough waters.
Hall exudes confidence, which is the right starting place. No guarantees ever, but I am excited and hoping for the best!
I think the entire team rebounds this weekend and we beat the Saints at home. 3-2.

I sure hope so.
No body can deny Hall’s passion

It really comes down to whether or not you're a legit starter
I still remember when Troy Aikman got sacked 11 times against Philadelphia, and if I’m not mistaken I think John Elway holds the record for being sacked the most times in his career. Edwards and Carr are back-ups because that’s what their ability is. There are many different ideas as to how to bring a rookie along (start vs sit, etc.) but sooner or later you have to find out what is there.

Well if anything this should be interesting
I believe the Cards can pull off the upset if they can just keep putting drives together and finishing them. No fumbles by the RB’s, the WR’s hang on to the ball when it hits them in the numbers. Hope the Oline protects this kid so he dont get killed. Hopefully the defense had another meeting and wont get embarrased again. If they can just play good solid basic football they will win
It's white flag.
we’re starting over. What a waste of a season….Damn and I got season ticket.
I'll take em...

Loser.
Whiz doesn’t know what a white flag looks like. We may not be winning a superbowl this year, but hell, we’ve played like absolute dog-shit so far this season, and we’re 2-2 and at the top of our division. If Whiz gets this team to play slightly better, which I believe he can and will, the division is easily ours for the taking.

If you're writing off the season why not write off your season tickets too?
Plenty of charities would be happy to accept them. For instance, you could mail them to the Send Hadrarius to a Cardinals Home Game Foundation. If you’re interested I’ll get you the necessary details.

Is it tax deductible? :D

Anybody going to Max Hall's starting debut this Sunday?
Cause I’ll be there in my Beanie Wells 26 jersey! Section 118, row 29. Making the trip out from school in CA. Let’s just say I’m pretty damn excited to be at the 1st game of the Max Hall era!
